No one talks about it, but does it seem that every time this time of year, there are always starters hurt or on IR? I know late in the year, you'll always have a few guys banged up, but nowhere near the level of the Bengals.

Seriously, Clements doesn't show up for Pittsburgh, Dunlop goes MIA, Sims goes to the IR, Donald Lee goes MIA, now Williams goes down and it's always during or for the biggest, most important games, As much as we rotate personnel, this leads me to believe that our Strength and Conditioning coach/trainer/department really *****.

Didn't happen last year.

It's the NFL. Look how many starters the Texans had out.

Sure, some of them could be in better shape, but they're o.k. for the most part.

So you think torn ACL's, sprained ankles, and hamstring injuries can be prevented?

Look how many games Andre Johnson missed. Mario Williams is out for the Texans too. Oh...so is their number 1 and 2 QB's...and they BEAT US!

There are many teams worse off then us. Trust me. The Bengals are lucky thus far when it comes to injuries...

UMM, Schaub, Andre Johnson, Mario Williams? and a back up DE. That's it for the Texans. Everyone on their injury report played.

Sometimes they can, but that would require depth and better conditioning.

Compare and contrast...^ Cincy had 10 injuries coming into this game and most on the list practiced and weren't held out because of their injury. ATL had 16. The Jets had 16. Houston had 17. New England had 17. Pittsburg had 21. The majority of teams had AT LEAST 10 on there injury list. A minority have 10 or less.

Interesting. I see some "repeat" guests here - typical glass players.

Exactly how many of those were starters or at least played big roles? You are pointing out a lot on those list who did play. Outside of 3 on Houston's list, all played. You would have an actual point if a majority of those teams list didn't play. I'm talking about quality and players on the field, not who has the longest list of hangnails.

A lot of injuries can be prevented from conditioning/weight training but a lot also happen from unfortunate dumb luck.

Try all but 3. The point isn't only IR, but missing big games or going down in big games.

Sims, Whitworth, Dunlap, Roy, Owens played vs. Saints, so nice try.

Yes, and I can't tell which is which. It just seems to happen to the Bengals an awful lot and a lot of the same names too.

What happened in the following weeks? Leonard , both TO and Ocho, Dennis Rolland. and then Johnathan Wade. Keep it up tho. it's funny to find someone who doesn't think that this doesn't seem to happen to the Bengals every year. just remember, I'm not talking about who has the longest injury list, but the most who doesn't play.

The fact is that it happens to every team, every year. We are no different.

I'm not saying that they EVENTUALLY went on IR; I know that already.

You said that 6 of the 9 were on IR at the time of the Saints game, and 5 at least (maybe Ghee as well, can't remember) were NOT, and even played.

Tell it like it is, and maybe you won't get your panties in a bunch, arguing.

Give it a rest. Every team has injuries and a lot of the times the team with the best depth will win. Injuries happen so deal with it. You dont hear the Texans crying like you are.

Im with you all the way bro! I have noticed this too over the last decade! Its not just the number of players out, but the starters! It seems like its always our starters that cant seem to be fit enough to go a whole season. While other teams may have more players out, they arent always key players. We never have good depth either. You would think with us always being a subpar team we would have depth because of high draft picks. But this is a result of coaches not being able to enforce a culture of warriors! They must have poor training and conditioning coaches also! I really really really think Marvin has to go if we are gonna succeed in the future. I want a coach that demands excellence like Mike Tomlin or Bill Belichek

The starters get injured more frequently because they're in on more plays. More exposure time to a possible injury means you're more likely to be injured.

It only SEEMS like we're the only team with starters out because you actively follow this one. You're wrong. Your average team has as many starters out at any time as the Bengals.
