Hi
This is an unOfficial thread. I got no ties to the Brown family or the Bengals organization. I am just a fan. ****; I am not even BengalBarry. Who I have known some to think he might actually be Mike Brown. Is he Mike Brown; I do not know. Why? Because I have no ties to the Brown family that's why; Gheesh!
Here we go; I got us picking 10th. My gut tells me that's where the Bengals will pick. I tried not to do any reaches. Hopefully some players will fall to the Bengals. But I tried not to project that.
10th pick Vernon Gholston DE Ohio State I think everybody knows this guy so, I will move on.

41st pick Vince Hall ILB Virg Tech 6 feet tall 240lbs 40 time 4.74
solid all around LB good tackler, can rush the Qb and has good coverage skills
He compares well to Karlos Dansby who will probable be franchised by Arizona.

73rdpick Dre Moore DT Maryland 6foot4 298lbs 40 time 4.82
Great Run Stuffer; Just ask Steve Slanton. He is an amazing athlete. He has had a 34 inch vertical at one point. Can not wait to his combine numbers.
This would be the third round compensation pick
98th pick Mike Hampal OLB Iowa 6foot3 242lbs 40 time 4.62
good tackler
108th pick Jason Shirley DT Fresno State 6foot5 330lbs 40 time 4.98
A big NT that runs a sub five forty.
I am a big believer in fresh legs on the D-line(look at the Giants for instance). This guy is the perfect forth round pick for us. A nice blend of Peko, Moore and Shirley would pay off big in the forth quarters of close games.
141st pick Chris Hopkins TE Toledo 6foot5 255ilbs 40time 4.75
565 yds and 7 TDs as junior. He is young with good speed and size. He is just 22 year old right now
173rd pick Corey Clark OT Texas A & M 6foot6 317lbs 40time 5.07
2 year starter with good size and speed. I am a strong believer in drafting some O-line and D-line every year.
196th pick OG Tad Miller Boise State 6foot4 304lbs 40time 5.20
Helped Ian Johnson run for over 1700 yds. This is another compensation pick as our the next 2.
238th pick SS Kevin Mitchell Illinois 6feet tall 200lbs 40time 4.55
He is a big hitter who can help out on special teams and help depth in secondary.

239th pick RB Kregg Lumpkin Georgia 6foot1 222lbs 40time 4.53
He is a power back; who runs over people. A different kind of change of pace back. Now that I think Rudi is probable gone. Best case scenario; Leroy Hoard, remember him.
Leroy had a great quote that I've never forgot.
"You need 1 yard; I'll get you three yards. You need 3 yards; I'll get you three yards. You need 5 yards; I'll get you three yards."
That is a great quote folks.
I am a SEC fan. But I had to be fair with my picks. It is hard to get good SEC players in later rounds. And that tougher, faster style of play has also cause some injuries this year.
So a lot the players; I have selected I have seen very little of. Please feel free to tell me if you feel Mitchell or Hampal are scrubs. The pick number will probable change some; specially those compensation picks.
So give crap if I deserve it. I would like this thread to house the 7 round mock drafts for the board. Specially after we really know where the Bengals are picking. And after free agency and the combine.
I think to much is put on the first pick. So much about the draft is really the second day.
Now more than ever with the third round on the second day. The Bengals need to correctly go through there board and use those to 3 rounders wisely.
