Greetings Bengals message board community!

Let me first say that it is quite an honor for me to be chosen by BANJAXED, to introduce him as one of your 2012 message board Hall of Fame inductees!

It couldn't go to a more deserving guy. BANJAXED, or BJ, or even Matt, (as he's known by in the real world) has been a valuable personality on these boards practically since their inception. He's been displaying his uncanny wit, razor sharp humor, and vast Bengals knowledge on here a lot longer than I have been on here. One of the true legendary people on this board that helped to shape it into the fun place that we all enjoy today. It is my pleasure to introduce, BANJAXED.

I first encountered BJ in the off season between the '08 and '09 seasons, when I first joined the boards. I immidately thought his humor was off the hook! There was just something about seeing how he smacked people around with all those ****-erotic comments that made me nearly spit my beer a time or two. (I guess he learned all that gay stuff on the HS swim team :lol:) But, getting past the sense of humor there is a more serious side to BANJAXED. I first realized the caliber of business professional that he is, when I absent mindedly happened to stroll into the old P&R forum one day, and discovered that was where he was holding court. He was giving an absolute seminar on how the insurance industry works, from a corporate point of view. I learned more from reading his discussions with another poster, (as I had nothing to add) than I could have in a semester long course. When it comes to Insurance, Finance or Investment, BJ is definitely the man!

I must also take a moment to compliment BJ on his new found handy-man skills! After the dust settled from his divorce, he bought a home, that was in need of some face lifting. Now, most guys that were not accustomed to that sort of work would have just hired someone to come in and do it for them, but not this guy. Not only did he take on the tasks himself, but he did a darned good job at it! If any of you haven't seen the pictures of the finished product, I invite you to ask him to see them. Great job, Matt!

I want to thank the community here - especially as a support group after my divorce

I know I can come off as an arrogant piece of crapola but 99% of the time it is just in fun - my friends know I am a pretty down to earth and humble guy who is very loyal to his close ones and alway willing to help out.

Back in 2007 when I first stumbled on the board I was very hesitant to join due to my ex being the most controling and jealous person on the planet - so I had to do it secretly and only post at work :lol:. Then, only after about 6 months (after really ejoying myself shooting the crap and whatnot) I got an email from IT saying I was frequenting sites not pertaining to work too much! I was devestated when they blocked the site but not a month later somehow it came back online through the filter and I was back in business!

Now that I got rid of the she-devil life has been excellent! I have been traveling, bought a new car and house, strengthened the relationship with my family again and just got overall healthy. I have run 3 half marathons and am planning on doing two full ones this fall.

I just actually started a new job today too - which should be great too!

Anyway...

I have run 3 half marathons and am planning on doing two full ones this fall.

A woman I went to U.D. with started running marathons not too long ago. She's a few years younger than me, is a teacher, and is quite pretty. Might make a good running buddy sometime.... or more (she is single). :wink:
