All this "logic" is garbage my friend. This is the nfl not college football. Here let me use your logic. Uh..we beat the bears 45-10 and you lost 17-14. So.....exactly. FAIL!! Not saying were going to beat pitt, but will win 1 of our next 2 games. As you guys will lose 1 of your next 2 games. As long as we win 1 we will be just fine! |

![]() The Steelers will play their game regardless... it's only Week 9 and only Game 8.. there is still PLENTY of ball left to be played.

The point being they are well aware of the standings and know that by winning in Denver Monday night it will put all the more pressure on the Bengals coming into Heinz Field facing pretty close to a MUST win game...There is still plenty of games left I agree but as Ive mentioned the Bengals dont want to lose this week and have the Steelers win and be a game back in the standings behind them having to go into their place and win to avoid a 2 game deficit...Especially since the Steelers have games with the Chiefs,Raiders, and Browns 3 of the next 4 games which are the type of games that the Steelers just arent going to lose making it all the more tougher for the Bengals to keep pace with them and ultimately in the end catch them...

Yes believe me Im aware that the Steelers still have 2 more tough hard fought battles with the Ratbirds to go this season...The Steelers also have games left with the Chiefs,Raiders, and Browns, and also a game against the Packers in Pittsburgh who I dont think are that good and the Steelers should be able to handle...The way the Steelers schedule sets up the rest of the way if they win the next two against the Broncos and Bengals they are in a great position to win this division going into December...

Of course, the converse has some merit as well. If the Steelers do drop the game in Denver on Monday night preceded by a Bengals win over the Ravens, it's the Steelers fighting to avoid having to make up 3 games on the Bengals with 7 to play. Just like your argument in favor of the Steelers, the Bengals finish with games against the Chiefs, Raiders and Browns as well, not to mention the Lions. If they take the confidence of pulling off consecutive sweeps of the Ravens and Steelers, I'd be hard pressed to imagine a team good enough to do that giving up 3 games in the standings with that kind of remaining schedule. Of course, that's not to say the Ravens couldn't pull off a sweep of their 3 remaining games against both teams putting them in the driver's seat. Then again, with the toughest of the remaining schedules amongst the 3 teams, this scenario could provide a thrilling 3-team scramble that comes right down to Week 17.

I'm pretty sure any Bengals fan would. It should go without saying.

true, but some may like the must win aspect of the game, although that hasnt always played out in bengals favor.
