Default OSU/PSU game

How does people think this game is going to go? Both teams look as if they are hitting their stride late into the season. I actually think this is going to be a great game....a slobberknocker, so to speak. Two great defenses getting after two pretty potent offenses. Its a classic Big Ten football game. After the Iowa/NW game, this is the game I'm most interested in this week.

I have a feeling this is going to be an ugly game. OSU and PSU both have pretty good defenses, but I believe their offenses aren't as good as everyone thinks. Pryor and Clark are inconsistent. I believe each offense has put up big games against weak defenses.

IMO this will be a low scoring game, with at least 1 defensive touchdown. Now I could be 100% wrong, but right now, this is just how I see it.

Could go either way. I give the edge to Penn State, though, because they're at home and they've had more consistency.

i think this is going to be a game so close that it will be decided by home field advantage and nothing more. i think both defeneses will play well and keep it a very low scoring, tight game. should be a good one.

I know this is going to sound cliched, but this game will absolutely come down to whoever can hold onto the ball (just like last year). Both D's are very good, especially compared to their offensive counterparts. If Pryor can keep his mistakes to a minimum (and I expect a very vanilla gameplan from JT to try to make it so), then tOSU has a great chance of winning because I believe their Defense and special teams are just slightly better than PSU's. However, I still do not trust Pryor at all in a close game, as he always seems to panic and make an atrocious error during crunch time (sans the Wisky game last year). My optimistic prediction:

Ohio State 17
Penn State 13

I think this game will ultimately come down to whether the Bucks can muster any kind of running game. Penn State has an extremely solid DL rotation despite losing two players to the pros, and it will come down to whether or not our O line can do their respective jobs. I say this because I love the defensive matchup, we have IMO the deepest DL rotation in college football, and because of that I feel we will do a good job shutting down the run of PSU. Clark has really faced one good defense this season, and they dominated him, 1 TD, 3 picks.

This is a huge game for the Terrelle Pryor era, which has been less than successful to this point to put it lightly. I look for Tressel to allow him to create more with his legs, because the PSU fans will be all over him. Not to mention the buzz is "thank god Pryor didn't come here." The guy has too much pride to allow the critics to be right I hope lol.

With that said though, I don't see a great performance from Pryor, but rather a good performance with an emphasis on minimizing mistakes. Should be a good classic Big Ten clash of extremely talented defenses with OSU ultimately coming out on top thanks to the depth of the DL.

final score: OSU 20 - PSU 14.

Penn State will win this one, I just dont see PSU's defense letting that poor excuse for an offense score anything.

PSU has a good defense but not nearly as good as their rankings would suggest. They have played a D-IAA team, and 4 offenses ranked 100 or lower in total offense. Ohio State is currently 63rd which would be the 3rd highest rated offense PSU has played.

That said, I think OSU's O-line has to have their best game of the year for OSU to win.

haha I deserve that... but I wouldn't get too cocky yet. You guys got a couple tough games left and if you don't beat Pittsburg you want the same outcome in this OSU-PSU game that I want...

I guess it wasn't Penn St.'s defense that faultered, or was it just OSU's defense that ruled the day?

OSU's D definately played well and dominated the Penn State OL. Penn State could never get rolling on offense and OSU pulled away.
