The New York Times is publishing a 7-part series titled "A Guide to NFL Defenses." This isn't some puff profile piece or silly predictions, but is instead a really in-depth history of the development of defensive theory in the N.F.L. It's way more sophisticated than the analysis you'll hear on an hour-long pregame show or sports talk radio -- and may be more than the average fan wants to know. But maybe some folks around these parts will be interested.

Parts 4-7: To come over the next four days
(FYI, part 1 is a basic introductory story to grab your attention, but parts 2 & 3 get into some deep history I'd never heard about.) Sorry if this has already been posted here, but I didn't see it anywhere.
