What makes anyone think we would trade for him?
Furthermore, why would Carolina trade him away? True, they have D'angelo Williams but he will be turning 29 here soon and has not eclipsed 1,000 yards since 2008. I just think you're barking up the wrong tree. On the other hand there is Ben Tate. Tate is younger than Stewart by over a year and has much more tread left with only 175 NFL carries as opposed to Stewart's 750. His career average is 5.4 yards. He also has a young back in Arrian Foster (25) ahead of him. I would go after Ben Tate.

I would take either one.
Tate is intriguing but he's hardly proven. Stewart is a proven back. I think Stewart is worth a 2nd round pick while Tate is only worth moving up in the first. I would trade number 17 for Ben Tate and number 26. That's about as far as I'd go for a back up running back who played off of Arian Foster's success for his single year of relief work.

That's true. We need to save it for an unproven cheaper rookie.

I would never trade for Stewart. The guy just isnt that good. He does not run as big as he looks and is always dealing with a foot/heel injury. The AFC north would chew him up and spit him out.
That's just my opinion on the idea of trading for him. If he were to get cut, then i might take a flyer on him

Ivory is a pretty good idea that I haven't even seen mentioned by anyone. He runs with great gusto and I like that.

I like the Daily Show pretty well but John Stewart does not look like an NFL running back to me.
