Sean Jones maybe?

Here's a link that shows who's left but ya gotta click position, then click safety to bring 'em up.http://www.nfl.com/freeagency.....
Don't think it matters, I think they will go with Mays.

I hope they don't regret it.

Its funny how people play with him because he is fast on Madden and all of a sudden he is an all pro player in real life.
If ML & MZ aren't confident in Mays, why would they cut Crocker?

Nelson didn't look to good when he had less than a year in the Bengals system.

OJ Atogwe is still out there... I know he is a FS... but still he is worth a flyer.

OJ was a hot commodity last season. I would like to see him talk to MZ.

I agree, apparently they released him due to lingering injury concerns about his shoulder. IF he's recovered from injury, we could do a lot worse.

I love both of them as back ups, but hate the idea od banking on either as starting material for the upcoming season.

I would rather see the Bengals reinforce other places though, as the safety class is very weak and there's much more value to be had in the draft upgrading other areas.
Exactly, that's why I really hope we sign one of the few out there that are left that could presumable be somewhat of an upgrade over what Crocker was even though that probably still equates to mediocre production.....Having that to fall back on beats the krap outta hoping Sands or Mays can do it and then ending up with an unmitigated disaster at the position on our hands.

Really, I think we would be asking, almost begging, for just such a thing to happen if we go into this season counting on either a fifth rounder that's done squadoosh in this league or a guy who got hot potato'd out of SanFran for a mere seventh rounder a year after they spent a second or third rounder on him, can't remember which it was.

Last, backups become starters with the next man up philosophy as innuries occur and injuries will occur. You don't just sign a guy to ride the pine as you are insuiating.
LMAO......if injuries never happened you would not neex back up players now would you. So you are saying Gradkowski was signed to be a starter?

I'm not opposed to this. Cincy has solid run support from its corners, and it'll get even better if they take Kirkpatrick or Gilmore. Thats really nice to have, but they need coverage from both safety spots if guys are going to take chances or don't have closing speed. I still think they move someone to safety, but Atogwe has a set of hands and coverage skills that would be welcomed.
