I predict we will not take a OG in round 1 and everyone will freak out even though there are lots of good OG later and Whalen is solid.

Unless DeCastro is available, Bengals will not take a G in the first round.
If Gilmore is avilable, he is the 17th pick. If Floyd is not there, Stephen Hill is the 21st pick. Jenkins will drop out of the first round. Bengals go G in round 2. Unless they get DeCastro at 17, which means Jenkins in round 2. LB in round 3. Bruce Irvin. |

I'm guessing you meant Wharton?

1. If we don't get Decastro, we won't take a guard in the entire draft.
2. Alshon Jeffrey goes in the first 3. Fletcher Cox goes before Poe. 4. Vikings don't take Kalil (If they are stupid enough to reach for Ponder, they'll do this) 5. Jaguars will reach/make an unexpected pick 6. We will draft a TE within the first 4 rounds 7. Either Maualuga or Rivers is traded for more picks/move up. (Rivers and a 5th for an early 2nd to snag Sanu/Martin?) |

1. Melvin Ingram will slide past the top 15. High motor, yes, but undersized and small arms has everyone thinking of Brandon Graham.
2. DeCastro won't be drafted at 11 by the chiefs. 3. Jonathan Martin, Mike Adams and Cordy Glenn will all go in the top 20. 4. Janoris Jenkins will be available well into the second round. 5. Trent Richardson will be the only running back drafted in the first round.

The 2nd round is chocked full of great OGs. The only problem with waiting is that is the most likely position to get a good RB. The reality is, we can survive without drafting our future starting RB this year.

Nothing in this draft would surprise me at this point. All Defense: (CB, S, Dline), and then WR/RB with the 3rd and 4th round picks. All offense (WR, RG, RB ) with the 1st three picks and then 3rd & 4th round DBs. If Boling was slated at the starter role in 2011 (yes due to Williams suspension), it seems to me with a year of strength training and acclimation to the play book, Boling could be considered as the starting RG in 2012. It isn't preferred, but it is conceivable. |

I don't think we take a Guard in the top 4 rounds, and maybe not at all. I'll put the Decastro corollary on this one, we'd take him at 17 if he's there. I think Gilmore is long gone by the time we're on the clock. Glenn goes before Decastro - to a team that wants him as a tackle. |

I doubt he will be, but this is where if MB can be nimble in trading it would really benefit this year. Extra 2nd's have a huge value in my eyes

1. Dre Kirkpatrick will be a bust at CB.
2. One of the three RBs, Wilson, Miller or Martin, will be available at the #53 pick. 3. One of our first two picks will make people say "What?!?" 4. DeCastro will be available at #17. And we won't pick him. (bold prediction on two fronts!) 5. Vontaze Burfict will go higher than most anticipate (perhaps in the 3rd-4th round) 6. Barring any major players dropping, we will go with defense for our first two picks. 7. Barron will go in the top 15, even though this is considered an inevitability everywhere except this message board. 8. Poe will drop because he's a workout warrior who didn't produce at all in college. He'll eventually be drafted by Pittsburgh. 9. Kendall Wright will fall out of the top 20 picks, but will reward whoever picks him.

I realise, that wasn't my point though. People will see Ingram and think of Graham who so far, has been a bust for where he was selected.
