I agree the bullpen needs to step up bc chapman needs to start
Funny, I know someone who dated Homer last year, lol... Dusty has to like Bray, who else does he have as a lefty specialist other than Chapman?

If the Reds do not have a 4 hole hitter emerge (thats not BP) they absolutely need to make a LF power veteran their priority for this offseason.

I must say that I was concerned when the Reds gave up so much for Latos. My concern was that he may be a product of pitching in SD where it is a pitchers park. Now he pitches in a hitters park and just got drubbed in St.Louis.It is early but my pre-season fears about this trade are already coming to fruition.I won't say that this is a bust yet but be very concerned fellow Reds fans, be very concerned!

Won 9-4 over the Cubbies. 12 hits today too. Hopefully this is a sign that the teams hitting slump is turning around between last night and today.

Edited above for post game results.

Why is Dusty using Chapman today when we are up 4 runs but he leaves guys like Bray in when we are in extra innings the other night?

Dusty is really starting to **** me off. I am ready for him to move on.

Was looking at the schedule thinking we may be able to make up some ground in this home stand. Then I saw we start things off against matt cain... Lord help us.

Actually the Giants were 9-7 coming into tonight's "Titanic struggle". And winners of 8 out of last 11. So yeah, I'd take 2/3.

Latos looked good tonight!

do my eyes deceive me?

Are the Reds finally stringing together some consecutive hits?

Who replaced our team with competent hitters?

I hope I'm not sleep posting and was just dreaming tonight.

Good teams build on momentum. Let's see if they can do that. Great win tonight!

I wonder if it is just a coincidence that Hannigan was catching him tonight...

I think Devin had been catching him his previous starts...

Thank goodness! I pitched him in one of our board fantasy bb leagues because he was going against SF.I figured that he would feel comfortable going against a team that he has seen a bunch of times..It paid off 27 points if I remember correctly and great job by Latos...

Well we are clearly a home team...we have to still hit the ball more...pitching has been pretty good as of late with our starters...waiting til the 7 th inning to light it up isn't always gonna work...as bad as we've played through 18 games be thankful we are .500

Impressive couple of games. The Reds look they remembered how to hit.

Had Madson not went out for the year I believe Chapman would be starting as Marshall would be lefty set-up man.
crow i am gladly eating sorry for doubting you B Phil.

Very sweet tasting crow if I say so myself!

And 2nd solid start for Homer in a row, more crow for me.

And who would have though that the Giants pitching is what would get Rolen on track?

Ugggg.... Had to "watch" this on stat tracker as I am out of radio reach and no t.v. today. Prolly more frustrating than had I watched or listened.

Sure hope I don't go to bed with this feeling after our 1st round of the draft!

Who Dey!
