I'm pretty sure nobody was impressed with blowing another 4th quarter lead again but this time the Pacers managed to hang on, all I can say is an ugly win is better than an ugly loss

I think it's also those fixed brackets too, like right now the 2/7 3/6 could be done so early and the 1/8 4/5 could end up going the distance and naturally the league waits til all the series are completed even when the predetermined ones are set, in the NHL they re-seed the teams so it's always the highest seed vs the lowest seed, at least by doing that it leaves the potential matchups up in the air and nobody is left waiting until the end

Pacers vs Heat Game 1 of Eastern Conference Semi-finals. This is going to be a hard fought series. IMO the winner of this series represents the East in the NBA Finals.

I work weekend nights, so I fell asleep early in the game and woke up to the results. Ugg... Reds can't buy a win this weekend, Pacers lose, and I didn't win the lottery AGAIN this weekend!

I know a lot is being made of the Pacers fouls today but Miami's best players were their best players and Indiana's best players weren't (LeBron and Wade score 42 in 2nd half to Pacers 38 as a team and Granger goes 1/10 for the day) it's as clear and simple as that as to why the Pacers lost

Well the Pacers dominated in terms of the 'team' concept, they had 4 players in double figures in scoring and nobody not named LeBron or Dwayne had more than 5 points, with Bosh out the Pacers are exploiting that matchup inside and the Heat are 1/22 for 3 in the series so far, the Pacers haven;t been much better for 3 either so it'll be interesting to see if anyone can jumpstart themselves for 3 and take advantage

I thought the pacers would have been swept but man they have quick guards, quality big men, and their well coached. Pacers have a really good chance at winning this series!

dont follow BBall to much but as the Pacers are the closest team to here. and the only team ive seen live (minus whoever they played that game) they are probly my fav team so ill be rooting for them

A.M. 950 still carries reds games here in Indy... Being a Xavier fan, love David West and thus little bit of a pacers fan. They have looked good tonight. I am on dvr, so pacers up 13 with 8+ left in the game...

Plus I hate the heat since Grant retired...

Maybe not superstar status but Granger and Hibbert are both all stars.

They have some really good young talent on the Pacers. They are gonna be a team to watch out for in the next few years. I really like that Paul George kid.

Most underrated player in the NBA has to be David West as well.

That's what I mean, you'll find Superstars playing for the Olympic team like Miami's 3 but not necessarily all stars like Indiana's. When the Pacers picked Paul George 2 years ago I didn't know much about him so I reserved judgment knowing he was a project pick and he's becoming one of the best defensive players now, I never expected him to turn out like that but I'm very pleasantly surprised he has. Guys like David West and George Hill were great additions too, Hill cost the Pacers Kawhi Leonard who was 4th in rookie of the year voting for the Spurs but Hill's experience and skill at the point has been priceless so far and West almost had the Hornets in a conference final a few years ago and in the offseason he spurned the Celtics to sign with the Pacers and that move may come full circle if the Pacers and Celtics both win 2 more games

Paul George will be a All-Star within 2 years. I agree with dr1441 David West is a beast. I didn't realize how good he was til we signed him. He is a professional in every way.

Jordan was stuck with a team like that, the Bulls before Phil Jackson

but Miami fans are complaining about the fact they cant win without one of their superstars whereas the Pacers dont have any superstars and manage to win anyway. I know I'm gonna hear a rebuttal on how the Pacers have 2 'all stars' but they're not exactly anyone's first choice on the Olympic team unlike Superstar players. That meme doesn't specifically indicate this was directed at LeBron James, it could be said of Chris Bosh as well
