Default Is Tebow A Fantasy Option?

They're going to use Tebow when they get down inside the Red Zone with Wildcat-type packages and whatever, so would that make him a fantasy option to draft?

It's kind of like Jerome Bettis was years ago- people would draft him because, when they got the ball inside the 10, they just gave it to him to hammer it in.

The only problem is that they could score from further out and he wouldn't even get a chance in the Red Zone.

Another problem is, except for a pass or two for a few yards, he could always get stopped, and then your highest point producer in your lineup, the quarterback, just laid a goose egg.

Is Tebow worth taking late?

I would take a flyer on drafting tebow, even late. Now if you could pick him up afterwards, he could possibly even be trade bait later in the season if he shows he is worth anything, but highly unlikely.

Is he an option? Yes.

A good one? Probably not.

Unless your league gives points for souls saved.

Are you in a league with a designated FB spot?

No, but that's my point- if he can come in and get two touchdowns on 30 yards rushing, that's 15 points, and then throw in another completed pass or two for twenty yards, and there's two more points.

Compared to drafting Rogers, Turdberger, Brees, Manning, or Brady who are all likely to put up 35+ points a game. At this point in his career Tebow just doesn't seem to be a viable fantasy QB options. Maybe some day.

Does your league carry a punt blocker?

Surprised the Jets didnt just make him into a RB.... thats the only good thing he does with the ball.

ESPN Magazine has Tebow ranked as the 26th best fantasy quarterback and has Sanchez as 28th.

Sometimes I feel A LOT smarter than I really am

If Tebow is playing full-time, then he's absolutely a low-level QB1 or an excellent backup, due to his rushing yards and TD's + the passing numbers.

Problem is, he's a backup right now. So avoid him for now. (until week 6, when he'll take over as starter)

Ha ha. You can have Tebow. I would pick him up myself, but I already have Vick and Cutler.

You talking about Kevin Smith? It's looking more and more like the RB job is his to lose. As for cupcakes, I proposed a pretty big trade to him today. Not sure if he will take it, but it's definitely fair.

I made moves in my other league too and sometimes I get my bit players confused. Leshoure seemed to have the most potential of the Lions' RBs but the guy keeps getting hurt and is suspended for the first two games. I'm just going to roll with the hot hand, and right now that would be Kevin Smith, although I have a feeling that may change a couple times when Best and Leshoure get going.

I will say one thing. No one will be raiding my team for all of its awesomeness. I did get both of your trade offers though. Ben Zoo thinks I'm pretty stupid or something, but Shake's offer was pretty fair. I decided not to go with it though.....it would have left me REALLY pained at RB. I'm trying to think of a counter offer that will balance out the loss of Forte for Beanie Wells, but I don't want to only upgrade at one spot for that big of a gap. IF someone didn't ditch Heyward-Bey for Terrell Owens, I may have accepted the original trade.

Oh well.

As for Tebow.....I don't think he's worth drafting considering he'll mainly be a situational guy. Now, once people start booing Sanchez, THINK about picking him up, but only if your #2 QB isn't solid. I have Brady and Dalton at QB, so I'll let everyone else deal with the Tebow mess.

No worries brochacho. I don't think your stupid or anything. But I do stand by my assessment of Wallace.

It does kinda blow that Wallace and the Steelers are girling out right now, but he'll be there by the beginning of the season. If not though.....My receiving corps takes a big hit.

I considered your offer, but it's too lopsided. I don't think I will consider any trades involving Jimmy Graham. He's the star of my team.

If you look at the points, Beanie Wells was actually the 15th ranked RB last season, which made him a darn good RB2. Of course, he does have health concerns, but no worse than say.. DMC. With Michael Bush taking some carries and scores away from Forte, I only have Forte as being a moderate upgrade from Wells. That's why I offered you Jennings for Steve Johnson. I felt that made it fair. I threw in Sidney Rice for good measure.

I'm open to other trade offers, as long as you leave Graham out of it. I might even consider Gore/Steve Johnson for Wells/Jennings/Rice. I consider Gore to be a worse option than Forte this year.
