Default A few observations after first half against the Jets

Here are a few observations after the 1st half:
1) Andy Dalton looked good for the first pre-season game
2) Dunlop may be a beast but he will not be a difference maker if he is always hurt
3) The Bengals still do not have a RB that can shed tacklers or make a tackler miss
4) Michael Johnson will be a matchup problem for every team the Bengals play
5) Brandon Tate can catch almost anything and if teams double A.J. he is in for a big year
6) The defense will be as stout as it was last year
7) Gradkowski is as adequate as any other back-up QB in the league
8) Taylor Mays is a head hunter ( not saying it is neither good nor bad just that it is the style he plays)
9) this team plays hard on every down
10) any chance of a playoff berth lies on the arm of Andy Dalton and his ability to spread the ball around to lots of different receivers

These are my thoughts and opinions feel free to add yours

Cedric Peerman is going to make it impossible for Boom to make the 53. That guy is a beast, and I wish we'd give him some more snaps at RB. Dude runs hard.

Sometimes people without 50 posts start horrible threads. This isn't one of those times. I understand the reasoning behind the rule, but who cares if its a decent post. I agree with most of the points anyways.

I posted this before seeing him....I agree he has the best moves....my comment was referring more to BJGE and Leonard who sit 1-2 in the depth chart right now

Didn't know there was an unwritten rule of conduct on these boards....I am a lifelong Bengals fan who has been living out of state for 15 years now and this is one of the few ways I still feel connected to the team. I only get to see a game or two a year televised. Thanks for making me feel welcome among my own......not !

Yeah that 50 post "rule" is pretty stupid. There are some posters who have been on here for years that post bad threads. If one bad post is going to get your panties in a a bind, then I suggest you don't have much going on in your life.

I'd like to welcome you to the boards BTW.

And yes, I know there is forum for that too. So bite me.
