Madden 13 Player Ratings are out

Our runningbacks are for the most part what I expected. Green-Ellis 84 speed with an 82 overall. Scotts at a 77 overall. EA has kinda shocked me with Leonard. They gave him a respectable 73 overall.

Our other backs are
Daniel Herron 68 overall
Aaron Brown 63 overall with 95 speed
Cedric Peerman 62 overall (if he keeps doing good in preseason and gets more carries I expect this to go up to around the same overall as Leonard probably.)
James Develin 59 overall

EA has ticked me off with the QBs

Carson Palmers a 84 overall
Andy Dalton is an 83

Daltons overall should be in the same area with newton. Newton is a high 80 overall :facepalm:

By the way if anyone is interested in getting involved in madden leagues let me know. I'm the fouder of a madden community. At the launch of M13 we will be hosting at least 3 leagues

I haven't really played Madden since college, but the ratings are interesting.

How is a playoff team, that by all indications has gotten better, ranked higher than only 8 other teams?

You'd think our defense alone would earn us a higher rating than that.

It's organized leagues.

Main leagues in M12 ran about 7 season. 3 games a week minimum. Guys play sim. Level of compitition is at the top. I would slaughter most if not all of the people on this site. In the madden community I'm usually fighting for a wildcats spot. The level of competition isnt an excuse for guys to not join cause the guys in the community are about helping people raise the level of their stick skills.

Check it out. There's actually two other members of this forum in the madden community

Newton deserves to be rated higher. Andy Dalton was good last year, but Newton was phenomenal.

It's lists top 15 in the individual positions

Whitworth is 8th best T
Gresh is 14th best TE
None of our other players made the lists

No green

I can see Dunlap's omission. However, you'd think Green, and especially Atkins would be shoe ins. Also, theres no way there are 13 TE's better than Gresham right now.

The connected careers is suppose to radically change it in M13

It's suppose to be better than NCAAs online dynasty

I'm super excited about connected careers
Them taking out fantasy draft though makes me a bit sour
Most people don't use fantasy draft

Guys who play madden all year round, like myself thrive on fantasy drafts, especially in offseason. Helps keep things fresh

Then I read where he got them from: E3. The ratings used for the E3 demo were the default ones from Madden 12. Those team ratings are r-o-n-g wrong.

I've been buying Madden for 20 years.
This might be the first year i dont get it at midnight in 10 years.
Might at least wait til black Friday or find it used. Toys r us has it for $45 BTW.

You can't do fantasy drafts, edit rosters in franchise, or take edited rosters into a franchise.They have also combined Franchise mode and Superstar mode into one mode, Connected Careers, thus "eliminating"the separate modes.

I play offline Franchise Mode almost exclusively. One of the best features in Madden was being able to edit the roster because EA Sports every single year has roster errors/has roster updates late.
They tend to lowball and what if i want to edit a player's position like from LB to DE or CB to S.

My only internet is on my phone so I don't play online.
Therefore,if I want updated roosters,I have to take my PS3 to my buddy's house 45 minutes away.

Word is they didn't have time to add this feature.
I'm paying $65,i want to be able to customize my rosters.

I am not so sure about that. Default ratings from M12 had Dalton a low 70 overall cam wasn't that high either. I would say maybe the final update of M12 but if it was that then AJ, geno and Dunlap would be on the lists :/ ..well I'm not so sure about Dunlap but geno and AJ should be :/

I love playing Madden but not sure I'm gonna get it this year. Once you get to certain degree of skill, it all becomes about having the best and craziest blitzes and being able to rocket catch left and right. Becomes a little hard to enjoy.

My mistake - I should have made it clearer that I was speaking only of the overall ratings for the TEAMS. The individual player ratings are the ones EA has been slowly releasing, but the teams are definitely from last year's default.

The easiest way to discover this is simply looking at the Colts - EA buys all the hype and with Andrew Luck there is no way they're the worst team in the NFL. I'm surprised they didn't make Luck a 99 already, honestly

But again, the TEAM RATINGS are wrong.

If people played madden like the actualy teams would play punting or kicking field goals instead going for everything i might pick it up again as it is the programming of madden 13 will be no better than madden 09 so ill wait.
