Nor give any credit. when atkins leads the league instead of just sharing it with tommy kelly, you'll say he's good player, and didn't just have a good season.

Didn't you have 13k posts in the now defunct politics sub forum of this board? I fail to see how me posting here is any different.

Edit: You were probably embarrassed of the post count you had. Makes sense you made this new name.

I'm still waiting for you to show me where I celebrated any injury.

Nay, I celebrate in the misfortune of opposing fans. Or am I mistaken and is this not a smack forum? Celebrating an injury would've been something along the lines "I'm glad he's hurt"
I said, I find it funny that every time you guys have a decent season, the football gods smite you immediately afterwards. Really I said Injury bug > Bengals. If that's celebrating injuries, than I've most often celebrated Steelers injuries.

Also, you're awfully critical of what I choose to do in my down time. Either you're just mad and hurt, or simply changing the subject because you have no real response to questions that are asked. Oh luvnit you professional dodge.

Edit; Actually, I fullheartedly celebrate your daughters shattered ankle that she ran around on a soccer field with. Mainly I celebrate the hilarity of your proclamations.

MRI on Redman's groin. Kidney stone?

Jonathan Dwyer and Baron Batch are the only other 2. Clay Smith got hurt and was put to waivers/IR.

Ouch at least he doesn't have to pass it. If the doctor told me I had to pass another one I think I would rather be put out of my misery. If that is all it is they will laser them and he will be back the next week.

Didnt know about Clay either damn.

I don't if it's really a kidney stone. That was my complete guess based on the fact at the time there was no specific reason as to why he was injured. -ie - fell during practice and had to be carted off.

But Clay is out. Looks like we will be finishing preseason with Rainey, Dwyer (who is currently being limited in practice with a shoulder injury) and Batch as the only 3 RBs who are even capable of lining up right.

Don't know if this happened before of after the MRI, but Ed Bouchette tweeted from Steelers practice that Redman fell to all fours when he tried to practice and never returned.

And in case you didn't know, our fullback David Johnson is also already out for the season after a knee injury during the Eagle game.

Why couldn't all the RB injuries of happened when Arians was OC? Losing RBs didn't even matter then.. Of course, that was probably why they didn't get hurt, because they were never used.

I knew about Johnson and heard that Redmen fell in camp. I just wondered if there was any info on it. Mendenhall is PuPed? I think I heard his time frame was around mid season? Its a good thing Chris Rainey has looked very good or the Steelers could be in a very precarious situation. I just flat out have never liked Batch and don't know much about Dwyer. From everything Ive read on the Steelers new offense the RB will be very important to what they are trying to do .

Is this a joke? Feel free to wish that Dalton ends up as good a passer as Ben or as good at avoiding the rush, but being a leader is about the only thing he has never been accused of. It took him what, 5 seasons to be named captain for the first time? As the starting QB? He's easily a top 5 QB on talent, but he's very much the opposite when it comes to leadership and intangibles.

Luckily for Steeler's fans it's a talent driven league, and you'll win a lot more games with an egotistical Roethlisberger than you ever would with Tim Tebow.

Steelers only name one captain per side of the ball, including special teams. It took 5 seasons largely due to the fact our offensive leader was unquestionably Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward. Not to mention the fact that with his off the field problems he was not going to be rewarded with a mere title until he grew up.

Damn you sound angry. Ben's a great leader on the field. Had been terrible off the field in the past. Then again, I'm not his friend or coworker. Therefore; Leadership on the field is all that matters as long as he indeed stays on the field. You seem so inexplicably angry on the subject.

You based an entire argument on captaincy.. A completely meaningless and useless title that has absolutely zero bearing upon the game of football, unless you're a betting man and you bet on the coin flip. That's the ONLY thing that is effected by captains.

Believe me, Ben's captaincy, likeness, virginity or any other personal quality are no cause for concern to me and it certainly doesn't have me angry.

As I mentioned, I obviously don't believe it effects his ability on the field or has any factor in the Steeler's success. I simply found it ironic that the one attribute he picked out was easily the worst of Ben's talents. Of the other QBs I would put in the top 5 with Ben in no particular order: Brady, Rodgers, Brees, a Manning (depending on how healthy Peyton is) I don't think there is a single person on the planet that would claim Ben is a better leader/teammate than any of the aforementioned players.

Whether you want to believe or admit it or not, Ben is or at least was not a very good teammate and was not thought very highly of around the organization. As has been well documented in the media, including quotes from several former teammates and by Cowher at the height of his off-field issues. Sure he appears to finally be maturing, but a guy who takes 5, 6, 7 seasons in the league to realize how not to be a complete moron and to carry himself with the sense of an adult is not going to be very high on any sensible person's list of leadership and intangibles.

I graduated from, and am currently employed by Miami University and have heard many of the same things said about the way Ben carried himself while on campus. I personally don't put too make stake in that as anyone who has been to college knows the way college students act, the problem is he seemed to carry the same lifestyle over into his first 5 seasons in the NFL, which is why he developed the reputation he did, created the off-field issues and avoided the respect of many of his teammates.

Very lucky indeed.

The Steelers didn't think very highly of Ben but paid him over 100 million dollars.

That makes a lot of sense.
