Nah, I saw a decent thread go up today and the rookie got blasted by the same people who are on here saying "I only envoke if it's a dumb thread." They just want to complain & can't wait to click on a thread & see a noob as the OP. Hell, I never in my life would know how many posts somebody has, because I've never checked. I don't go into dumb threads to begin with, and couldn't care less if people start dumb threads, because I DON'T GO IN! Thread Police guys should try looking at the thread content & stop looking at post count.

Btw, they never even checked, but the guy had been a member 6 months, so 50 post doesn't apply anyway. What a waste of their time complaining.

I think a lot of people get to 50 posts purely by complaining about people who don't have 50 posts.

I saw this same thread today, and many times before, and I agree that it's a waste of time for people to complain about it. New members sometimes make great threads while older members can make some awful ones. If it were a real rule, I would think that it would be hard-coded into the board. Since it's not, all we can do is take your advice about bad threads and expand it to include bad posts; Ignore them.

I am of the opinion that the more rampant problem is that new and veteran members alike insist on posting the same news story multiple times a day, and not posting them in the appropriate place. For example, Jungle Noise is for posting about the Bengals and Bengals-related news. Smack Talk is for gloating, and Around the NFL is for news that related to the players of other teams, including former Bengals. It's pretty simple, but no one seems to get it.
