Default Post Your Favorite 3 Prospects

1. RB Knile Davis, Arkansas (6'1 226lbs)
My favorite back in this class. I think he has everything you need in a running back and more. Has an incredibly elegant, and effortless running style, comparable to Matt Forte of the Bears. It'll probably be close between Lattimore and Davis until the combine, where I predict Davis runs away with it.

2. CB Carrington Byndom, Texas (6'0 180lbs)
To me, Byndom is the battling with Amerson for the best corner in next years draft. He has fantastic coverage skills, great instincts, and good ball skills. I could see Byndom being the first or second corner off the board come next April.

3. DE Corey Lemonier, Auburn (6'3 260lbs)
Love this guy. Lemonier has amazing speed on the edge, and gets into the backfield quick. Not sure how we'd use him, but I'd love to have him and Moch rushing the passer; that'd be a nightmare for QBs.

I'm with you on Knile. If he gets back to the RB he was before his injury he's the top of my RB board.

I can't really do the rest of my board until I see how this team plays, and who we lose in free agency.

I could see LB, DE, SS, and CB all as potential needs along with RB.

I am with you. I will still make some lists, but needing a RB is the only lock so far.

If Cook does not shine, I would find his replacement and relegate him to back up. You can get a world class OC late in the 1st, or you can still get a darn good one in the 3rd. Even if he does work out, we still need 1 more interrior guy.

We could need a DB, or we could be good based on what the comob of Mays and Miles do. I think we can wait at least 1 more year before we start looking for a replacement for Reggie. We could take another CB in the 1st or 2nd and let Leon swing between S and CB.

LB almost looks like a must, but what if Burfict works out? Who would we extend and who would we look at replacing?

A lot of people have DE high on their list; I am on the fence. Our D-line rocks; 1 more good DE will make them unstoppable. But, Geathers is servicable for another year or two, and we keep waiting to see magic from MJ. We will see.

We could have some sleepers at WR (I like MLJ) or we could have a big bunch of Cs.

I know, linebacker is such a question mark right now. Does Maualuga produce enough to get an extension? Does Moch turn into the player we hope he does? Does Vontaze become a beast in the middle?

SO many questions. So far this season, Michael Johnson has looked very good to me. Not a whole lot on the stats sheet, but he's constantly getting pressure while also containing the run game.

As I often do with these kind of posts; I am going to cheat. I will do favorite by position by round (3 rounds).

RB: hell or high water next season, we are going to need another running back. Leonard's skill sets are not as needed with BJGE's blocking and catching ability. Scott, who is really or change of pace back, does not seem to have the durabilty to make it in the NFL. Barring a break out season by Scott, we will need another 3 down back (the role he is forced into). We may also need another scat back. The reality is, you can get a speedster in any round of the draft.

1st round: Until proven otherwise, Marcus Lattimore looks like the only 1st rounder. He is an effective blocker, a good pass catcher and is agile for his size (huge). His speed is marginal, and hopefully he does not have any more injury issues. A great 3 down back for the AFCN.

2nd round: Knile Davis- a huge burner is hard to come by; a 2 year captain is icing on the cake. History of injuries is the main concern. If he can make it through the year and not need any procedures this off-season, go for it. The good news is that he would be splitting carries which mitigates his issue to a minor extent.

3rd round: Andre Ellington- wins this spot by default. He is the only burner I can find this early in the season. I am sure there are others, but I have not found them yet.

I agree with a lot of what you say. But I do have some concern over Dunlap, they guy just can't seem to stay healthy. I would almost approach the DEs like they did DTs in the last draft, it is not an absolute necessity but if a guy is there you can not pass go for it (both Thompson and Still were talked as first round guys at some point in the draft process).

The LB spot will be interesting to watch this year, you have all three presumed starters going into their second year either with the team or in their respective position.

DE is a need. We have 1 guy who really gets after the passer off the edge, the others either feed off of him pushing pockets or coverage sacks.

Unless MJ has a huge year, we will need to look at DE.
Factor in the Porcelain Kid is hurt again, we need a DE.
