Good write up on the 2013 draft prospects in the Michigan vs Alabama game last night.

Probably a good switch.

Unfortunately for Gholston, what ever grade he earns, you can probably add two rounds to it. He will be the Munson of DEs. Burnt dogs dread the flame.

Yeah, in "what should be world," I'd agree.

But it's not like Drew Brees made the question of height go away, despite all his best efforts to make it so.

Except it should, because it is important. The thing is a QB needs to play bigger than he is if he is that height.

In other news, Logan Thomas has laid a stinker so far tonight

Andre Ellington would look nice in stripes. Looks so far like a nice crop of RB's coming out Ellington, Ball, Lattimore, Rogers. Is the kid from Pitt an upper classman?

I think we should possibly think about taking Barrett Jones in the 2nd round as center if Cook can't perform.

That ***** for him, hopefully he'll get a medical redshirt if he wants to go back to school next year. At least the Noles have Tank Carradine and Mario Edwards coming off the bench.

Jones will be in the first round IMO. He is a versatile OL who has played 3 different positions at a high level (and quite possibly on 3 NC teams). He could be a LG, C or OT in the NFL. (In that order). I compare him to Steiny and I think he is and will be better.

He was overrated anyways.

Well it looks like Werner is going to have a tremendous season.

Anyway, going to be watching Sean Porter as well in the Texas A&M game.

If only someone had been pimping him before the injury....

I think Jenkins' injury will hurt Werner's production because now teams can slide protection to concentrate on Werner instead of Jenkins unless Jenkins' replacement steps up big time.

Another good write up from nepatriotsdraft.com
Boise state vs MSU
http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/...tml#more-19872

Very good break down on Gholston.
Quote:
Overview: Gholston didn’t have a big impact on the stat sheet, but you certainly noticed him on the field. His big frame disrupted passing lanes all night, while his athleticism got some occasional, if not consistent, pressure on the quarterback. He has a lot of physical tools but is far from a complete player at this point.

On Bell:
Quote:
Overview: Bell looked like the complete package. He blocked, caught the ball, ran for power and showed unreal elusiveness for a such a big back. Combine those traits with nearly fifty touches and you have a guy that nearly made 300 yards on his own. He showed good vision and unwillingness to go down – I think he’s ready to declare early for the 2013 NFL Draft.
I like that they substantiate their claims by including a snap by snap breakdown of the notable aspects of the players game. What they said about Gholston is exactly what I saw in the game. Looks like tarzan, plays like Jane at times.

**side note** do we want to keep adding to this thread or create a break down thread per key player?

Millner is going to be the 1st CB off the board.

He is a Revis type CB.

Bell is one of my favorite RB prospects as well. That kid is the real deal.

With a spare 2nd this year do we pull a Dallas type move and lock down our corner backs spot for the next 6 years? From what I have seen so far I would be inclined to say yes. Hobson is already writing articles talking about Hall's move to safety as if it all but a forgone conclusion.

Overrated LSU OT Chris Faulk will miss the rest of the season with some sort of knee injury.

No. Because unlike Dallas we likely have more pressing issues than a 3rd Corner. Well...Dallas had no starting CBs. We have Hall and Dre for the near future. You dont spend a pick in 2013 first round for a 2017 need.

If he keeps doing what he is doing... The next player from UC to get drafted high is Walter Stewart.

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...2013&genpos=DE

And me being a homer... I like him. And I want to draft him.

He would be a LB here.
Which would mean Moch probably struggled more.

He might keep growing. I wouldn't say he is definitely a LB. But its not like we don't need help at the position with 4 of the 6 set to be free agents.

UC lists him 6'5" 249

And he still looks fast enough to play LB. But he is a difference making DE.

I'm thinking he will lead the Big East in sacks this year.
