Default What needs done ASAP

1- Terrance Newman needs to GO. He was horrible and got burnt countless times. Release him and bring back Morgan Trent.

2- Brandon Tate needs to follow out the door. I am not sure what is available to replace him but it can't get much worse. Mardy Gilyard perhaps?

3- Rey Maualuga needs to split snaps with Burfict and we need to ease Taz in now.

4- Don't give up on Mays just yet. He is the only guy other than Geno on the D that can strike fear... dirty or not I don't care.

Yes Newmas was terrible ive been saying that all preseason. Rey wasnt that bad he will be ok. Dunlap and Allen will make a difference. The game got out of hand when we fell behind by 2 scores. Faine played good I was a little concerned their. Harbaugh's are brutal in openers. I still think this is the best team we have had since 88.

You forgot to put Michael Johnson on that list.

You do realize how bad Taylor Mays looked tonight? Alot of the fault was him biting on all the play action. Hard to strike fear when your out of position.

We couldnt buy an anything tonight. It just didnt go our way, especially on defense. Honestly it was a disgrace on defense, a total embarrassment. There is no way they are that bad.

I think the issue was not having too little fire, but too much.

It was like everyone was so eager they bit on every playaction, and misdirection.

I have seen High School Ds look more disciplined.

It was sad.

The very first playaction Nelson bit and Hall released Smith to the inside where Nelson should have been.

Mays, Maualuga and, and Nelson bit on every fake.

Even so... this defense lacked any kind of "thump" outside of Mays.

Did you see the one kickoff return where he was going to run out, but then took the knee and started hitting his head? If anyone ever needed more evidence that this ****head doesn't know what he's doing, that little gesture was a tell-all.

5. Leon Hall. He isn't the same. Very first offensive snap...he gets burnt for a 52 yarder. Flacco picked him apart. Can you imagine what Ben is going to do with Wallace and Brown? It's going to get ugly

I really think that you are off base about Leon Hall. His first game back from the achilles injury, sure he's not up to full speed. Even though those passes were completed on him, his coverage was good, he was there when the ball got there. Give credit where credit is due, Flacco made some great throws, way better than we've been accustomed to seeing from him over the years.

Edit: I see you are a brand new member to the boards. You just got here, and you're already spewing negativity? Most newbs are relatively optimistic, for a while at least. Soooo, who did you used to be on here??

Yeah I'm a "newb" to your boards, but I've been a Bengal fan for a long time. So, forgive me if I'm upset after a horrible loss. With that said, I'm optimistic with a lot of things.

Our offense looked good against one of the best defenses in the league
The Law Firm is solid
D line made some great plays...sacks and stopping Ray Rice

I'm more concerned about our secondary and getting Gresham more involved. WHO DEY!!!

They didn't need Ray Rice once they saw how horrible our secondary was.

I agree with you. Leon was playing about as close as he could to his man. Which is tough. Most of the time Flacco had time to make his single coverage reads. Even when he did not, he still was making great throws. It also helped that his WRs were hanging on to the ball when tackles were being made.

As much as people want to say our D stunk they should also be giving credit to Flacco. He played the game of his life against us. It looked as he was very well prepared going into MNF. Which is more than what we can say.
