Default Browns Start the Season 0-1

Wow.

Weeden 12-35 for 118 yards and 4 picks
TRich 19 carries for 39 yards

But their D kept them in the game....kinda. Vick also threw 4 picks. LOL

17-16 Eagles

I picked the Eagles in the Bengals Board Survivor game. So....I'm hyped that it turned out this way. Not to mention they're a division rival and I hate them. Weeden looked worse than Vick....which is saying something.

One of Weeden's intros should have been caught by Little, but overall he had a terrible day. If I was a Browns fan, I wouldn't be too concerned about TRich based on today as the Eagles have a good front seven plus him missing most of camp and preseason (if not all not too sure on that). But I would be wanting McCoy in there otherwise chances of having yet another long year goes way up with Weeden.

Weeden is not the answer for the browns...they need McCoy in there with better wideouts period!!!

My God. Brandon Weeden is terrible. 12 of 35 with 4 picks. They shouldn't have drafted that guy anyway. Colt McCoy just needed more weapons. Richardson wasn't impressive either. I almost pity Browns fans. Almost.

Yeah I kinda feel bad for them. They're almost going through what we went through in the 90's. That said, their defense scares me. If they throw Colt back in and Richardson gets fully healthy, they may be capable of turning it around.

Yep, they could have used the Weeden pick and grabbed a decent receiver. They could have gotten Weeden as a UDFA if they wanted him after the draft.

Weeden found out quick that he didn't have Blackmon as a safety net and NFL defenses are light years
faster than Texas AM.
He put up a worse QB rating than Chuck Frye.
and heres the kicker, the Eagles pass rush wasn't really evident today. He had time to throw.
The Browns o-line is atroiocus. Richardson looked very Dan Herronish today.
Yeah the Browns defense kept them in the game. But they still can't stop the run.
Weeden is Derek Anderson 2.0

I'll give the Browns D credit for forcing turnovers, but they also gave up 456 total yards in the game. The Eagles did gain plenty of yards on them.

Colt McCoy wasn't that bad last year, he had a horrible team around him. They gave up on him too fast.

For what it's worth McCoy played only played in 13 games last year and there wasn't much difference between his and Andy's stats

35 completions 53 attempts 665 yards 6 TDs 2 INTs 2 Fumbles.

That's it, that's all that separated them. Those numbers are definitely attainable over 3 games.

That averages out to 11.6 completions 17.6 attempts 221.6 yards 2 TDs 0.6 INTs 0.6 fumbles per game.

Exactly. Plus, if McCoy had somebody like Green catching passes he'd be at least average. McCoy is a starting caliber QB. Weeden, not so much.

On the Eagles front, Vick isn't a $100 million QB. He had one great season and got paid, much like Palmer.

Dalton is not the problem. Sometimes I think the only reason people gripe about him is because they have nothing better to do or simply like to read the word of their own writing, similar to when people complaining just to hear the sound of their own voice.

I think their defense will prevent them from being the worst team this season, and if Colt gets put back in, I could see them winning at least 5 games.

If they're smart(unlikely) their eyes should be on top WR prospects: Robert Woods, Justin Hunter, or Keenan Allen. With guard being a priority in the 2nd.

NFL officials have warned the Browns that they are expected to give good faith effort in their final games, but also informed the team that with one more loss, Cleveland will be officially “on the clock,” and may begin negotiating a contract with USC QB Matt Barkley, the presumptive first pick in next year’s draft.
