People who start threads about EX-players in Jungle Noise instead of Around the NFL. It's just attention seeking and causes clutter aside from being in the wrong designated forum.

People who start the 5th+ thread on the same topic, when they couldn't bother to look for one of the already created threads OR saw the othe threads and felt their comment was golden enough to warrant it's own thread instead of a reply.

People who post stuff just for attention seeking purposes, like some recent un-named joker we all know.

One pet peeve is how threads of certain players, like Gresham, are merged into a thread about him from last season. Not complaining or questioning the mods since that would be against the CoC, just a peeve is all.

Hey, we're not perfect. We do make mistakes. In the instance you describe it was our mistake. It should not have been merged with a thread that was started several months prior.

The day after game day, there are so many repeat threads it gets difficult to keep them straight. We saw repeat Gresham threads and merged the two not knowing that the original was from a previous time period, thinking rather it was another one pertaining to the previous night's game.

Elite level players generally are worth 2nd-5th rounders. There's countless examples of studs going for mid rounders. (Randy Moss, D'meco Ryans, Tony G, etc.) We're not going to trade Jason Shirley or Chase Coffman for jack squat. We can't package some turd group of Shipley (Bum knee version), Ryan Whalen, and Robert Geathers for some quality starting caliber OG. Quit starting threads asking if we should trade Brandon Ghee. Unless your asking price is a used kicking tee and a counterfeit fathead, then he has no trade value.

4.) The people that literally refuse to hear anything even remotely negative about any aspect of this team. Even fans of teams coming off Super Bowls have things they want to change and improve. There are players outside of this building that can help us, and talking about guys we have who need improvement doesn't make you less of a fan.

5.) People who take the time to write out a decent amount, but then don't use paragraphs. Sorry, I aint reading that shat. Hurts me head.
All of these.

I would also add these:

1. People who don't know how to use the multi-quote button and flood the thread with 5 straight replies.

2. People who mess up the quote to where it reads like it's part of their post.

3. Egotistical posters. Quite a few bloated egos on these boards.

The biggest one by far for me though is the negativity police. These boards would be 10 times better if you didn't have to fend 5 posters off everytime you post something remotely negative.

This is just my opinion, but I would guess that what you are referring to with the "negativity police" is this: What irritates some people here are those whose only agenda is the negative angle. There are those on here who purport to be a "fan," but will only post negative things and never anything positive.

When things are going good, they are silent. At the first sign of trouble they are on here in full force spewing their negativity. I know that is irritating to me and I assume others as well. It is perfectly fine to be critical of the team as long as you balance that out with positive when situations dictate it. The posters that are able to do that have a lot of credibility.

It's the ones who are constantly whining and complaining with never anything positive to say that are irritating and rattle the "negativity police."

There are 2-3 "me me me" attention seekers on these forums that post drivel. i wish people would just quit replying to their threads. Seriously just don't hit reply......or do what I've done and put them on ignore. The silence is golden......until you QUOTE them. Stop it! Don't reply and don't quote these jokers! Thanks!

I have a question Bengals_Moderator.

Wouldn specifically people calling me out in this thread be in violation of CoC number 1, 5, 6 and 10. Also those who use innapropiate language towards me be in violation of number 2 and 3. Finally those who constantly go out of there way to come to me wouldn't that violate CoC number 4?

Smh we got a lot of internet bullies here

Also I know when I question mods I am told I'm violating CoC. Actually number 13 doesn't say you can't. It says strongly advisie not too. Also it says not to make threads doing it. I did once and learned my lesson. I'll never do that again. And I know PM mods with my issue. Really though this isn't so much a question to the mod but me raising awareness. I'm not violating CoC. However other are...

Do you mean the guys who would revel in the team's struggles and would rather be right about this team than actually see them succeed? Yeah, we've definitely seen a number of those types around here over the course of 7 years.

Recently I have started using my cell phone to read the boards, I can do it all day long off and on rather than waiting till I get home and on my laptop. Anyone that does this; do you notice how long it takes to read a post when people quote EVERYTHING? Sometimes the quote is the second thread and quotes the OP that we all have just read. I understand quoting something that is back in the treads a bit, or quoting a line or two, but to quote and ENTIRE message when it could be a few paragraphs long?

This is the reason it's annoying for those of you that don't use phones. When looking at a thread and we see it is 2 or 3 pages long, on a phone that comes out to 7 or 8 pages.

Like I said, I'm not pointing fingers and I know that people that do it, don't even realize it can be a hassle....I didn't before I started using my phone.

Anyone have anything else? Be nice
Upgrade your phone, or you connection speed

Oh my god yes, but I did get a ton of rep for my "Lets get one thing straight" thread. Although it did get me some infraction points too, it didn't edit my posts completely to hide the bad words I guess and since some of the posts were so long it is easy to miss them. But the fact that these people that hate negativity so bad got on my nerves that much was exactly what you are talking about.

When someone has flat-out stated they dislike a player in one thread to the point of hatred.

Then state in another later thread "It's not that I don't like the guy... but". Like they are going to be unbiased in a debate.

The big one I know we all get peeved about is...

Starting a thread that is controversial and never are to be heard from again in said thread. If you don't want to be involved in a true topic. Don't start the thread you troll.

Shake, this isn't about fans finding things to justifiably be critical of. We would be disingenuous to insist that a team that hasn't won a playoff game in over two decades isn't deserving of that. It's more about those whose entire existence here is to trash the team and its fans. Symptoms of this tend to include obnoxious, belittling comments towards those with differing (and, often, positive) opinions and celebrating losses as a means of justifying their behavior.

That doesn't seem to describe you or most other fans. To be honest, it's a significant minority, though it's hard to tell sometimes by the way they like to call attention to themselves.

You certainly haven't been negative, just over the top with this persona you've created. That's completely different from what we're discussing here. Your tactics have become a bit annoying to some, but that alone does not violate the CoC. If you feel there are those who are attacking you in the forums, please call it to our attention. I know that I cleaned up one such thread recently myself.

As for spam, I basically see it as frequent posting of the same or similar content, especially if that content is off-topic.
