Default Go Carson Palmer!!!!

Oakland Raiders vs. Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. For the first time in a year and a half, I'll actually be rooting for Carson Palmer. Hopefully he can find it in his noodle to light up the Steelers for 500 yards and a half dozen TD's for the win. That might require his receivers to learn how to catch the ball though...

After this weekend he can go back to being his worthless self.....until week 10 against the Ravens.

Go Carson Palmer!!!

I hope this is the only game they win all year. Except for when they play the Ravens of course.

As much as I hate Carson, I hope he continues to crumble against hte yellow and black.

And that they still somehow win like 15-14

Nah....I want him to make them look like fools. He did it to the Bengals after all.....

Really, I'd be happy with 6 or 7 TD's....

I think they'll upset the Steelers. Palmer actually hasn't looked that bad this season. Just the whole team has been horrendous. But hopefully they pull off a win this week

Please dump it to McFadden. Let him do all of the work as usual. No need to try to force it into double and triple coverage or overthrow it Carson. We're rooting for you this game. Well sorta... just win damn it.

PS - Your receivers might want to use some sitck em' as well. They are pretty crappy. Just scrape some off the bottom of your shoes.

Palmer went from the big question mark on that team to about the only guy earning his paycheck. It doesn't look like they are going to win so I'm hoping he gets lots of lovely stats, yards, and earns a place in the top QB's of all time for total career yards and since the Raiders stink the Bengals get a high pick.

Best of both worlds, I guess.

What? Last week he completed 50% of his passes (mostly dump offs) averaging 7.77 YPA and had a sub-par QBR of 74.4...How is he the "only guy earning his paycheck" considering his salary this year is 12.5M, I highly doubt that is even close to the case.

Especially when you consider the salary of some other big-name QBs he's making more than:
Tom Brady (11.75M)
Aaron Rodgers (8M)
Drew Brees (3M > 10M 2013 > 11M 2014...So as not to say it's a one year thing...)
Eli Manning (10.75M)
Ben Roethlisberger (11.6M)

And I won't even count some of the other guys who are better than him that signed huge/slotted rookie deals as well as the 5 or so QBs that are better than him and making more money.

I just don't understand how people jump to his defense no matter what, like he can do no wrong. Anybody that watched even a small part of that game knows that most of his passes and completions were short dumpoffs and his over 300 yards came on almost 50 pass attempts and completely neglecting their star player!

That's a problem! When you have Darren McFadden, YOU USE DARREN MCFADDEN!!!

...and they would also know that 2 of his starting receivers were injured, and his main target week 1, besides DMAC who was targeted 18 times, was an undrafted rookie. Also, the new offense they installed calls for more of a WC style, hence the short passes.

Does Palmer make more than he should right now? Sure, but all these people acting like he's not even in the top 25 have to be thinking with some pretty big bias as well. The guy was the Bengals starting QB for 7 seasons, and one of the best QBs in the history of the team, but now he's garbage? He had ONE bad season with the Bengals, one.

Carson looked good out there today. Lets see if he can keep it up. I think the Steelers D is finally slowing down. They can still dish out dirty hits with the best of 'em though.

Palmer wins, Steelers lose, Bengals in first (well, depending on what the Ravens do)....good day to say the least.

You don't have to watch Palmer play for the Raiders, but you should look at more than the stats and box score before you call out people who DO watch the games. Just saying.

I won't lie I wanted Carson to go 0-16 just so we could have the 33rd pick but ill take the 35-40 pick to see Carson beat the Steelers and Ravens this year for sure.

Week 1 he completed 70%, and def had a good day today, and it helped us so I ain't mad at him.

So far this year, he's 62.5%, 879, 5 TDs and 2 Int for a rating of 89.3. If their long snapper didn't get hurt in the first game, they'd be 2-1 right now.

But even better than that, Dalton is at 68% for 867 6 TDs to 3 Int, and two yard advantage in ypa with a huge rating advantage at 105!!

Palmer isn't as bad as ppl want to say, AND, like I been saying, Dalton will not miss.

Right on both fronts, just like always.

And maybe not last week but week 1, Palmer threw to McFadden all night.

I willed this to happen. You all can thank me if you'd like to.

Now Carson Palmer can go back to being a turd.....at least until he dices up the Ravens.

Hey now, that "turd" is the only Bengals QB to beat the Steelers for nearly a decade, isn't he?

Yes, he is. To be fair, Dalton has only had one year to try....

That's why I said "nearly" a decade.

True, I'm just trumpeting Carson over the Steelers today, mostly. Dalton will figure it out this year, I'm sure. As for the Ravens? Well, Dalton has a long way to go to eclipsing Carson's ability to beat them.

Oh, I was a Palmer fan again today. I won't be tomorrow, but I was rooting for him today. Dalton will beat the Steelers at least once this year, but you're right.....the Ravens might be a harder accomplishment. I will say that I do miss that about Palmer. He could shred the Ravens with ease.

You were the first to say Palmer could possibly do it (I didn't think he could) so I'll give you props to that, even if it was just wishful thinking. I don't expect anyone to be a Palmer fan, but you have to admit it makes us look somewhat less crappy when our "golden boy" that we would have kept around for another 5 years had he not walked out on us DOESN'T completely stink up the NFL.

At any rate, I sure hope this is the first in a series of devastating losses the Steelers take this season. Well, week 1 stunk for them, but that was the Broncos at Mile High, so ehh.

Always great to see the Steelers lose, but as an added bonus, Palmer had one of the best games of his career vs. them too.

Also, I hope Heyward-Bey makes a full and speedy recovery. That was a brutal hit.
