New Resident Evil Movie

I saw this movie today and wasn't suprised. This flick is bad. Not just sorta bad, but reeeeeeeal bad !

About the only thing I can say positive is the 3D was good. But in this day and age... meh.

I really loved playing the series of video games but almost all of these movies have been bad. Except the first one and even that one should have been a lot better.

I would not have gone to this if were my choice. I'm just giving you a warning if you had any inclination in seeing this. Save your money and time... don't do it !!!

There seems to have been like 10 of these movies, I never watched a whole one but saw a bit of one on tv a while back because the chick was hot, but then moved on.

Yeah, my wife likes these. I actually think they are quite stupid at this point. After a while Mila looking good and kicking butt only goes so far. The acting and story lines are horrendous.

BTW she even hated this one.

They should just have her do the next one nude and at the end she enters a jello wrestling tournament at a nudie bar.

Just from watching the movies (not trying to connect them with the games) I thought the first one was a pretty good movie. The second one was ok, but after that they have really fallen off. I haven't seen the most recent one yet, but the last one was soooooo crappy. Unfortunately, I will probably see the new one

Yeah I thought the last one was so bad that we were done. She told me today she really wanted to see it. So unfortunately I was pulled into seeing another one.

On the brightside at least she doesn't try to pester me into seeing stupid chick-flicks with her. So I should just count my blessings and deal with the horrid RE sequels.

It could be worse... a lot worse.

Loved the first one. Thought it was great. Decent storyline, decent acting, great musical score, a couple halfway decent twists. Was it anything like the games? No, but it didn't take away from the movie being good.

Since then, the movies have been total garbage. There's lots of things worth watching Mila Jovovich do in slow motion. But playing Alice isn't one of them.

LOVE the game....and have enjoyed the movies for the most part..will definately wait for RedBox...thanks for the tip

Outside of poorly written lines in the series movies they really haven't produced any strong villain. I liked Wentworth Miller from Prison Break while on the TV show, but he was about as wooden and silly as any other one they've had.

The woman who plays Jill in this movie is about one of the worst actresses I've seen in a movie. Rodriguez is decent actress and that's about it outside of Mila. Everyone else only has a couple of lines and small parts. The guy who play Leon looks like a real Dbag.

I guess my point is if you're not going to follow the game you could at least write a decent flick. Get some unknown actors who can act if you're on a low budget.

I guess the real disappointment as a whole is that the RE series of movies miss the whole "on the edge" type suspenseful creepiness. Instead it's replaced with mindless action. If you shoot 1000 rounds of bullets into a mutant creatures face your probably not going to kill it with a gun. Instead they just reload and stand there firing like idiots. Also at what point does Matrix style fighting and avoiding bullets/knives/axes in slow-mo become stale for Hollywood? I was tired of it 10 years ago. Yet we still see it in action movies.

They showed the trailer to the new Silent Hill movie and that movie looks creepy as hell. It at least it looks somewhat interesting. I never saw that first movie. Was it any good?

I love the game series I could never get into the movie. I just didn't feel like it was true to Resident Evil.
