Default Look for the Baby Hawk express to pick up more steam against the Jags.

Just had a little look at the Jags performance against the Colts. The thing that stood out, #31 corner, Aaron Ross. Now his wife may be 24 carat, but he looked nothing short of scrap against the Colts. He was worked in the slot by T. Y. Hilton, a rookie similar to that of Hawkins, Hilton ending the game with 113 yards off 4 grabs. You have to think Gruden is licking his lips at this matchup. If they were to shift one of the more proficient corners over to Hawkins, say Cox or Mathis, then that leaves Green is dream land. There is absolutely no excuse for Dalton and this high powered passing offense not to continue its impressive progress.

Yeah, Green had a good game against them last season, and that was before Hawkins emerged. I expect double coverage on Green, with Hawkins having a big day.

I look for Hawk to have a great season. We need to focus on 1 game at a time, and staying healthy

They simply can't cover Green, Hawkins, Binns and Gresham at the same time. There aren't enough defenders on the field to shut that lineup down!

Baby Hawk impresses me more and more each game. He fits in so well here. Next Sunday should be good.

I just can't believe he didn't latch on to another NFL team.

I think it has more to do with scheme than anything else. He fits ours perfectly and it shows in his production.

Their loss is our gain. It's nice to find a dimaond in the rough every once in a while. And he is definitely that.

When Dalton hits Hawkins in stride, it's going to be hard for any defender to catch him....

Exactly. Not only this, but the more people like Binns, Hawkins, Gresham, even Tate produce, the more defenses have to respect their ability, only helping Green more. If things carry on in this regard, this unit can move from pretenders to real contenders.

I think we proved in the Redskins game we have an assortment of weapons with which we can create an impressive offensive plan. If the defense shows up as good or better than that game, we have the Jag in the bag.

Anyone notice that the odd man out is Tate? Returning less with Adam back there, and the two rooks will be adding some playtime hopefully soon...Tate looks expendable.

We have 4 receivers with over 100 yards so far this year.

We have 6 with a catch of 20+ yards.

The only way you can shut it down in by getting a lead and getting in Dalton's face and ruining the timing like Baltimore did in the 2nd half on us.

True, but he did make that awesome catch and run against the Browns for a TD. What Tate provides is solid depth.

Orson Charles only has one reception thus far, and is doing more blocking than receiving, but I can't wait to see Gruden open up the TE packages that are sure to come as he and Gresham learn.

Another key player that we really haven't seen anything from is Bernard Scott. I think once the Bengals get Scott and Charles in to the mix, the offense will have amazing depth and talent across the roster.

I am also hopeful that Sanu and Marvin Jones will get valuable game experience. I still think the matchup nightmare is AJ on one side, Jones on the other, with Baby Hawk in the slot. All three guys are burners and the smallest guy outside is 6'2".

I hate to let my anti-steeler bias be so transparent, but I hope Gruden has a special blend of plays for them on that primetime game.

What amazes me most about Hawkins, is the fact that he made one HUGE play that completely changed the complection and momentum of the game, TWO WEEKS IN A ROW! He is the very definition of a game changer. He may touch the ball two or three times per game, but one of those touches leads to a touchdown! That is a weapon we havent possessed in years!

vs. Washington - 2 catches for 66 yards and a score (one of the catches went for 50+ in the 4th quarter to change the game)

vs. Cleveland - 5 catches for 56 yards and a score (one of the catches went for 50+ in the second half to change the game)

He is becoming another weapon that defenses MUST pay attention to and he alone is going to help take pressure off Green for weeks to come! Should also help Binns and Gresham.

This kid is quickly taking over as my most favorite BENGAL! Love him

The kid's been a feel good story from the start, but now he's doing what few thought, but everybody hoped he could do on the field. I for one love me some Baby Hawk, the guy's earned his stripes. If everybody worked as hard as this guy, this team would be unstoppable.

I liked what the Packers did a couple times -- 3 TE set and send them all out on fly patterns. TE's in the NFL aren't like the TE's of old. Two of the three TE's were then covered by LBers. Result: About a 23 yard gain.

Going to be tough down there...You never go into a NFL game saying we're going to do this/that as you have to account for turnovers. penalties, off schedule plays. down and distance, etc......Just so much is dictated by real time happenings...Just go into every game executing fundamentals, sure tackeling, responsibilities, good ST's play, etc....If some broken plays happen or you get into a groove then great..

Yup, not to mention the fill-in refs.

Interesting fact on baby hawk that will probably be meaningless to most but I'm the latest madden roster updates he has shot up to a 70 and climbing overall :)

It may be a shock but bins is not our 2nd highest rated WR. Baby Hawk is actually rated higher than bins

Meaningless to most but it reflects how the national media sees us :)

Andrew have moved from the bench on my fantasy team, to a starting role, replacing Percy Harvin.

The bad thing is? Gruden will try to live and die with something that is not successful, our run game. Simply put our team is built more for the pass, even with a pass catching running back. Dalton can air it out, he has the accuracy, discipline, intelligence and ability to scramble to make big plays. Andrew Luck, a rookie, with barely any receiving weapons can carve them up, we should be able to.

What? Did he "live and die" with it last week? Did you really want to see a more imaginative offense than last week? Ironically, "not" having a running game might be the thing that hurts this team. Not having that back that can drag a tackler, or getting that extra 1-2 yards after contact, or the 225 workhorse you can feed to. Like not getting the 1st down last week on the final drive with 3 running plays to get 10 yards..

He has before. We pretty much leaned on Benson last year, hence why he was what, second in rush attempts? Sure, this year is different, and we might now, and I hope we don't. We need to adopt the policy that so many other teams have, and that's get the killing blow, and continuously pound it. Teams, if given the chance, will blow you out, and for some reason, we are charity. "Oh, no, we can't do that. Here, take a couple extra points and a few hundred yards. :) " Killing blow.

Dalton needs 35 pass attempts a game. Which I believe the last two, he has gotten.
