I see this happened 9 seconds into the game and no score. Is the fact that he's doing a dance over something that's not a TD enough to make butthurt bungal fans come and whine about his dance?

no, because it was the first play of the game that was on the road, and it immediately quieted an entire stadium of people. thats something to get excited about. not your average 7 yard reception to make it 3rd and 3 like Antonio Brown likes to celebrate about. and he did it bc he promised his kids if he got a sack he'd do the dance for them. Not his fault it happened 9 seconds into the game.

He said in his interview that he promised his kids he would do it for them if he got a sack. Not if he made a routine tackle. Does Antonio Brown have kids? If he does I'm sure they wave their tests around like the Hammer of Thor every time they get a D+

Sad that there hasn't been much room for any kind of cheering on your end

So you're saying defensive players aren't allowed to celebrate if they don't score TDs?

Thats not what the thread title said. It says for bengal fans to use this to invalidate your own arguments. Nice going.

This goofy dance certainly won't make everyone forget about the Icky Shuffle.
Got a name for it nevertheless...

The Peko Polka!

So.... you're saying sacks happen as often as first downs?

Have you watched our O-line the last 3 years?

As you see, I said the same thing in my OP. My first argument was to tell you why a sack on the first play of a game on the road is worthy of a celebration, because it quiets the crowd. The second part is telling you the reason why he did it. He promised his kids, It's not his fault it happened on the first play of the game.

I don't know what Greg said, but the Steelers D-Line is to stuff gaps and let the linebackers make plays.

Unlike say the Giants or Raiders.

Yes but Greggy also says that pressures are worthless. Which leads me to believe that he feels the DL should just kinda hang out and exchange witty banter with the opposing team.

Really incredible that you guys still don't grasp what I said.

Pressures aren't worthless for the billionth time. They simply aren't as good as sacks.

And great rush ends get both.

But, I'm sure Luvnuts (and apparently you) won't retain this information and make up argument.

He doesn't either.

I tried to explain the intricacy of the 3-4 defense and DL roles but heavyset here still doesn't get it and makes up his own argument.

Shocking, I know.

So when ben was pressured and threw a pick 6 in the Super Bowl against the Packers, it would have been a better defensive play if he were sacked?

better play for the Steelers, but not better defensive play so see greggy you are wrong. Sacks are not always better than pressures.

But, please try again to enlighten us with your vast football knowledge.

Well, if he was sacked he could have fumbled and they score a touchdown that way.

There are certain examples that you could use but in the big picture sacks are much better and more consistent. They stop drives and can turn the ball over. Pressures stop plays and rarely turn the ball over.

You would have to be a complete moron to think otherwise. Honestly, I'm shocked I have to explain this to another adult.

Of course you can pick a few examples out but again, sacks in the total picture are much better.

You got it.
Going down with the ship. I respect that, but we can all throw out a bunch of 'could have happned". 1st and 2nd down sacks are not drive killers. teams overcome them all the time. What percent of sacks create a fumble/defensive TD? My guess not too many in the history of the NFL. But, think of some more long shots where as QB pressures do create turnovers and TD's all the time.

We say your team lose a game in the Super Bowl because of a QB pressure. Why not just admit you were wrong and call it a day?
