This one wasn't on the defense.

Both Ds had a great game.

Our turn overs hurt us more, and that is the story of this game.

That and Marvin going for a kick, when it was 4th and 5, on his end of the field late in the 4th quarter.

That was not a smart move, as they needed 4 to tie and a long field goal actually gave the Dolphines the ball where they could pin us deep.
I would have spread the field and thrown a quick slant, and hope for a catch, or a cheap flag like the PI called on Newman, when the Dolphins WR ran into him.

I think he meant to state that Coyle knows how to shut down an offense better than Zimmer....... as the Dolphins D is better, especially against the run this year.....than the Bengals D.

I do not think he was downgrading the D in itself.

This game reminds me of the 1989 game vs the Dolphins. Bengals were 4-1 coming in. It was rebuilding with only Marino as any decent O player and Louis Oliver on D. Well... the Bengals had chances in the 1st half to blow it open and were only up 13-3. Lost the game 20-13. Could not run against them.....could not go deep.

It did not make any sense to me then...... but it's almost like the Dolphins do this to the Bengals here at home no matter who is the QB or the team or coach in general. Remember 2010? How frustrating was that game here vs the Dolphins.

No need for knee-jerk reactions. Besides, it was the offense that failed to convert drives into TDs today.

Yep.
Coyle knows Dalton inside out from being here. No shocker he knew how to play him.
And I attribute it to **** poor gameplanning by us.

Both teams were held in check running the ball. I think the Finns, even had less rushing yards than the Bengals.
Our D has turned it around, and now the offense looks bad, with poor play calling and Gresham looking like he is sleep walking all game.

I think you forgot an *end sarcasm*.

What about our lack of run game?
What about our WR's dropping passes?
What about our O-line not blocking well at all?
What about the uncharacteristic play calling by Jay Gruden?
What about not going for it on 4th down at the end when we had decent momentum?

I understand your feelings are probably hurt but this was a team loss.

Cam Wake is a terror.
Sean Smith has been a stud at times this year.
Really an underrated unit overall there.

And my boy Reshad Jones was huge today.

actually, Miami's D is just a step above the Bengals. It is our sorry O that was the problem with this game.

The offense was absolutely terrible. AJ Green can't get open down the field?! And Gruden can't work up a formation or play that gets some receivers open? Dalton was terrible, but the Miami D put him repeatedly in bad positions.

Cincy's defense was not very good, tho. They did a lot of bending but not breaking. Which is okay, but in the 2nd half Cincy needed quick stops and couldn't get them. (Just one 3 and out after the first quarter.)

I am actually one of the nicest, genuine, kindhearted people you will ever meet.

AND I'm being modest.

Truth.
