Including, to be fair, an excellent Mike Vick joke and justifiable digs at the Bengals secondary... |

Joe Haden is an unbelieveable player. The Browns defense is exceptional. BJGE lacks burst.
I am worried about this one. |

Haha..that Vick joke was great. On a side note, did you guys know he has a dog now? Anyway, some points he brings up are legitimate, but some are absolutely ridiculous. For instance, our run game is a source of concern, as is our defense. However, the Phil Dawson reason and the Big 12 reasons are stupid.

Man that list is just awful.
Green will own Haden and our DLine will eat old man Weeden for lunch.

I picked the Browns in this one, but now I'm leaning towards the Bengals. Haden is good, but Green is better.

All games worry me. I think it will always be that way under our current HC. This could be the year to establish the Bengals as a consistent playoff threat. I think there is enough talent to make the playoffs but I do not expect it. I just can't buy into Marvin taking us to the next level.

OK so past Haden and Green, do we see Binns and Hawkins making some plays?

This fools knows nothing
Nate Clemens?? Who is that?? Has he not watched our defense since the Browns game; playing 10000X better. The pick ratio of Dalton to Weedon means nothing. Dalton is so clearly and obviously > than Weedon; no contest. Phil Dawson?? Besides the missed kick against the Phins; I'd take Nug any day. The only advantage I see the Browns having is Trent Richardson against our run game. Buuuuuuuuttt we just held MJD and Reggie Bush captive the past 2 weeks. I give the Bengals D the advantage there (things are slowly turning) Finally, Haden will NOT shut down Green enough said.

Well my pre-season prediction was 8-8 with a + or - 2 thrown it there. Last year it was 6-10 and even though I was off by 4 games, it was higher than a ton of predictions out there. Now, I just dont know based on the 5 previous games. But I do think this week will tell a lot about the 2012 squad we have. Win up there, and then come back and beat Pitt on Sunday Night Football, 10-6 is a real possibility.

Some decent points. Do not overlook the Browns guys. They always play us tough. If we can't establish the run and 58 plays well like 58, we have a game on our hands. I do feel that a received not named Green may have a breakout game though.

Im not overlooking them at all. And I am guessing Hawkins? Dont see anyone else having a breakout game to be honest lol.

And as soon as the offensive line can hold their own damn blocks so Gresham can release, he will breakout. Who has the weakest pass-rush on the Bengal's schedule? The Cowboys? There it is - your Jermaine Gresham breakout game.

The more I look at this matchup, the more I like it especially if Reuben is out. Browns defense has been bad against both the pass and the run. They miss Taylor and if Reuben is out we will see two rookie DT's most of the game in Huges and Winn. They are both decent players, but they are rookies so as much as Faine has struggled of late, this is a good match up for our interior OL. Whitt and Smith should do well also with Rucker and Sherard. Rucker may also have to slide inside where he OK, but not as good as outside.
The Bengals DL and LB ers are both playing better. I have a hunch we will see more of Dunlap thanwe did last week. I also like the fact Norwood and Massequoi (spelling) are out. The later hurt us in week two. We have Litte and Grodon to shut down and I think we will. I also see Zimmer doing things to confuse Weeden this time around. We had just lost Howard and it was a loss we just did not have enough time to prepare for. The defense is now playing much better against both the pass and the run. I just see us dominating in the trenches on both sides of the ball. My only concern is turnovers. Dalton can't keep throwing picks and we have to stop fumbles. We play a clean game and we should win by 10 plus points minimum. |
