His new style of play will hopefully extend his career as well.

I'm hoping! He looks great and just more confident in the pocket now.. good thing he is he can also still extend plays and do what he used too. Gonna be interesting.

Lots of factors, debating which one was more important is an exercise in futility.
You used the word "IF" alot!!!! A loss is a loss!!!

Once he loses his ability to do so his career will be over. It's about as frustrating to the opposition as it gets.

Not if you entirely loathe the Pittsburgh Steelers. It seems like they're going to pick up every last 3rd down.

That's the thing. People say Ben isn't elite which I'm ok with. I'll take his ability to drive down the field and win games. It's amazing at some of the stuff the guy pulls off especially when his line gets destroyed and the play is all on him. He's a great athelete.

It's like he's too dumb to know that it can't be done, then he does it. A lot of times anyway.

On a related note, I have little doubt Ben will be a shade over 400 pounds when he retires.

Downward spiral leading to an early death and an eternity in the recesses of Hell? You're probably right.

Are you the kind of Turd Ferguson who wears a jersey of a team that's not even playing to a game?

Ben has been about the only thing that has kept the Steelers competitive this year, honestly. Truthfully,he didn't play that badly last night. He took what the Titans gave him,but the Steeler WR's simply weren't winning and beating their coverages. Wallace had one big play for a TD,and Sanders should have had one,but other than that, they really didn't do anything. Ben had 14 completions for 206 yards to RB's and TE's and only 10 completions for 157 yards to WR's.

Both the Steelers and Titans left a lot of plays out there on the field. That's what's kind of scary about this loss for the Steelers. It's not even as if the Titans played out of their minds and brought their A+ game to pull off the upset. It just looked like two mediocre teams slugging it out,and the Titans won because they played better ST's.

I ultimately chalk this one up as a trap game due to the short week and the Steelers looking ahead to the Bengals. I actually thought this one would be close, although I didn't see the Titans being able to win, especially with their backup QB. However, the Steelers aren't in a position to drop gimmie games like this.

Well,Troy and Pouncey are always banged up,and Polamalu hasn't been truly elite for a couple of years, now.

Sports writers certainly don't agree with you.

Anyways, look at Pittsburgh's record with Troy and without. It's absurd to think the guy doesn't make a HUGE difference.

7-9 according to the graphic in last night's game coupled with the ensuing loss.

As a Bengals fan, I have no problem admitting that Roethlisberger is an elite quarterback. I wasn't even aware that this was in question.
