I was going to wait until the bye week to see where the Bengals were, and how prospects were doing. So, with that said, here is my first mock of the season.
1. Barrett Jones, C, OG, OT: Although Bjoern Werner is my favorite draft prospect, I don't think he makes it to the Bengals. With that said, Jones is a very good player. He has the versatility to play anywhere on the line, and would definitely help out the Bengals. I believe Jones would definitely be an improvement over Cook. Jones is also extremely good with the running game, which the Bengals definitely need help with. Also, if Boling doesn't cut out, they can always move Jones to guard and he would do extremely well. Jones is a solid player, and would definitely help this Bengals offense out. 2A: Alex Okafor, DE: While I think Johnson will be re-signed, the Bengals still need depth and a good rotation. Okafor is a very strong, speedy rusher. He would do very well in Zimmer's rotation and honestly could one day be a starter on this team. The Bengals need to continue to get pressure on the QB, and Okafor would be a great fit on this defense. I honestly think Okafor is one of the better pass rushers in this draft, and the Bengals might have found a gem in him. 2B: Andre Ellington, RB: I had faith in Green-Ellis, but he just doesn't seem to work well here. Ellington has been having a nice senior season, and as though I want the Bengals to wait for Rushel Shell, they can't overlook this need. The Bengals love in between the tackles runners, and Ellington is that. He will most likely be solid, but don't expect anything great from him. 3: Bacarri Rambo, S: Before he said he was staying in college, I wanted him as a Bengal last year. He was arguably the best safety prospect as well. He has some flags, which is why he falls here, but he is very talented and would definitely be a day 1 starter. Major contributor. 4: Desmond Trufant, CB: Bengals need CB depth, and Trufant is a solid CB. He could maybe one day end up as a starter, but for now would probably be a dime or nickel player. He also has speed to keep up with some of the quicker WRs. Trufant could also be a gem. 5: Mike Taylor, OLB: What? Two LBs? Yes. Bengals need help. Taylor is an underrated player and has good instincts, something some LBs on the Bengals don't have. Taylor is putting a solid senior season together and is also plays very well in coverage situations. 6A: Quinton Patton, WR: Bengals wait to address the WR position since they did last year, but Patton has potential. He's a good red-zone player and played very well last year. 6B: Chris Barker, OG: Someone very underrated, but also adds depth to the Bengals. Doubt he falls this far, but it's possible. EDIT: I thought the Bengals had two 3rd round picks, but I believe I was mistaken, so I took out Sean Porter, OLB

I definitely see Jordan going in the 1st. His stock is rising and I definitely see him doing well at the combine.

I like it. I'm a bit skeptical on Okafor however. I think we need an end that can play the run better. That's what made having Fanene and Rucker great. I'm not sure Dunlap will do much against the run anytime soon.
