Jeez, people. 4 losses. 16 games. Relax.
Seriously. Weeden and Tannehill made us look ridiculous but you'll be convinced when a good qb and arguably the best in the game trounce us?

4 losses in what should've been the easy part. Not just in the crapper, already flushed.

3 game losing streak and you're all ready to drop the season.

Get off my team.

I don't think it's in the crapper just yet. But one thing for sure is, Marvin Lewis is not a good coach and he needs to be gone no matter what. If we don't make the playoffs then he needs to be out the door, without a doubt.

THIS will be a HUGE test. Back to Back Manning brothers after a bye week?!!! Let's hope Marvin's call out had an effect. I've been saying all year that these young players have got to "man up" and realize that hard work and effort seperates the All-Pros from the wanna-be's. The guy on the other side of the ball is just a man.....so what is it that makes him a better man? Hard work, effort, heart and desire. Who wants it more? Who does a better job in the turnover department? Gut Check time boys. Show us what you got?!

If the Bengals have something going for them in each of these games, for the Broncos it's timing, the Broncos are just coming off a huge Sunday Night win off of their bye week and usually travelling after a game like that sets up a letdown game and the Bengals are coming off their own bye week which generally teams across the league have played extremely well this year

and for the Giants it's that the Giants will be favored going into Cincinnati and in recent years when the Giants have been favored by more than 3 they rarely cover, I think the only time they've covered when favored more than 3 points was the Cleveland game and I doubt this would happen but if the Bengals were somehow favored, the Giants have been almost automatic winners as underdogs

If Bengals win 3 out of the next 5 (Broncos, Giants, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers), we're back to .500 and who knows what happens from there. If Bengals can pull off 4 out of 5 that would be even better. 9 games looks like it would take a wildcard spot in the AFC this year, and Bengals would just have to win 3 or 2 respectively to get to 9 wins, in the scenarios described. I just hope that Dolphins loss doesn't come back to bite us in the butt concerning wildcard tiebreakers. Also, that Chargers game could really be a huge game in terms of the wildcard tiebreakers and might be a must win. All hope is not lost... yet. But we got to start winning games and regaining that mojo we had in the 3 game winning streak.

I just want a chance to be able to root for meaningful games in December! It's not fun spending the holidays talking to family and friends about the draft instead of watching the games with them talking of playoff hopes.

The Raiders and Chargers games will be tougher than people think. We're highly capable of winning...but also capable of losing.

palmer will be booed and it will ruin his confidence and the bengals will win..The Chargers on the other hand well Norv Turner's job is on the line, I look for them to be tough the rest of the year.

The way our D is playing, I could easily see Palmer coming in here and light us up

Are the Bengals 12-4? No, they're 3-4.

So that's "4 losses. 7 games. That equals nothing to relax about.

Especially when the expectation was that we would be 6-1 at this point. And realistically why shouldn't we be?

Pittsburgh had a lot of key injuries. Cleveland had yet to win a game.

1) that assumes wins over KC and Oak, and requires either beating a Manning (hard to believe at this point) or winning out in SD (something Cincy almost never does).

2) Even at 6-6, a WC spot would require winning 3 of 4 the rest of the way. Where do we get 3 wins at Philly, at Pitt, or home vs Balt or Dallas? I can't see more than one win in that stretch. Two would be the max--and that's only 8-8 and home for the postseason.

People keep overlooking those facts. Cincy just went 3-3 against 6 very beatable teams. Cincy's playing terrible at this point. And there are no fixes on the table.

I agree with "any given Sunday," but not SIX such Sundays.

Not in the crapper ?

Depends on your definition of "in the crapper" I guess.

I feel 8 - 8 is an absolute best case scenairo, which to me is in the crapper ! 6 - 10 is more likely which is fully flushed and gone !

I agree with Shake our only hope of righting this ship is getting rid of Lewis and starting over. He's tainted this whole staff, team, trainers, etc. fully thru from top to bottom with apathy.

Watch Rey Maualugas interview, he looks and acts like a whipped pup !

I honestly think that the AFC is so weak that 8-8 is going to make the playoffs. We could lose the next 2 games and still hang in the playoff race into December, expecially if we can beat teams like the Chiefs and Raiders.

The closest thing we have to a fix at this point is to stop turning the ball over. IF Dalton can do that, we can start winning.

Against the Broncos and Giants its going to be ugly if we turn it over.

As long as mathematically there's a possibility to believe I will.

Well, it's free and if we don"t believe in our team who will ??

It's not actually "in" the crapper until the 8th loss. Up until then, it is a klingon.

Somebody, PLEASE give me a reason to believe. I'll still be here, no matter what happens or how bad it gets, but a slim ray of hope sure would go a long way. Does anybody have one?

Sunday will either inject a bit of hope or completely destroy it. Based on the prediction thread, most folks seem to be in the completely destroyed column. Is anyone still drinking the Kool-Aid?
I just want to see improvement in everyone on and off the field. We aren't going to make the playoffs this year but we can play good football and still can win a hand full of games before it is over. You just want to see improvement at this point.
