Why would you scream at that? That would have only tied the game.

You should have been screaming the following week when Shayne Graham missed a winning chip shot field goal against Pittsburgh.

In 06 we had the botched XP at Denver, blew a 21 point lead at home to the Chargers, Dave Pollack's career ended at home vs Cleveland, then there was the phantom roughing the QB call at Tampa Bay. So yes, I too would rather forget 2006.

2006 ended with a thud, but I don't think I've ever been as excited before a season as I was in 2006. It really sukks that we couldn't win a playoff game with Carson, Chad, Housh, Rudi, Willie, Simmons, Deltha and Justin Smith. So much talent but just couldn't pull it together.

He was a late season addition to the Browns in December of '08. Only game started was the season finale against the Steelers. Was waived by the Browns in Feb of '09.


Pretty sure that Grad was still with the Bucs in '06.

LBs were terrible in '06. Defense gave up 4.2 ypc.

Simmons was solid, but we lost Odell and Pollack early on. Had no viable replacements for them.

Same here. I still have my Thurman jersey and Pollack was one of the best college players of all time. Talk about bad luck. That 2005 draft class had so much promise.

No kidding. As I recall, it was only week 10 in the season when we finally started the same 5 players at the same positions on O-line for back-to-back games. Up until that point there'd been a position or personnel change on the O-line every single week.

The great 4-game stretch you talked about was sparked by Carson and Chad going on a tear ... 26 catches, 505 yards for Chad over those 4 games (if you count the loss to San Diego prior to the 4-game win streak it was 37 catches for 765 yards in 5 games!) Hopefully Andy-to-AJ gets on that kind of roll.
