So who were you a fan of before the Bengals? A little late and odd to start being a Bengal fan at that age...? Elaborate.

During the 2011 playoff year, the Bengals had the lowest attendence of all 32 NFL teams. Actually averaged 7,000 fewer fans than the 2-14 St. Louis Rams. Lagging attendence to Reds games (oldest franchise in baseball) and lagging attendance to Bengals games. |

You will be spare when someone is able to refute. Thus far, there hasn't been one. A prospective buyer will evaluate the population, fan base, and location when looking to buy or relocate an NFL team. Cincinnati doesn't have a big population. Cincinnati isn't attractive from a geographical perspective. And the Cincinnati fan base has lagged behind other NFL teams. |

What happened to that guy was...?
He had to start cleaning out cabinets, and cupboards to find soap and towels for his players to shower with. He had to argue about what flights were cheaper compared to arrival times. He had to argue about hotels vs. motels. The head coach in Cincinnati is not making game plans. He is a suit following a budget. Last edited by Carlos Spicyweiner; 11-02-2012 at 02:44 PM. |

Cuz he doesn't have Ray Lewis and Ed Reed in their primes, Sam and Goose, Michael McCrary, Peter Boulware or Chris McCallister. Or Ozzie bringing in the players.

That Greg Shiano in Tampa Bay has those guys playing really hard down there. It will be interesting to see how that develops. |

He did purchase the remaining stake in the Bengals last year. Maybe he'll have Katie move the team after he dies. He'll instruct her to then hire a GM and the Bengals will become a yearly fixture in the playoffs. Wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts?

Ed Reed was still in college when the Ravens won the super bowl.

And have made the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years and 3 of the last 7. Only 10 NFL teams have made the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years. But, hey, why would Cincinnati want to watch playoff calibre football? "Fans" please continue to stay home. Last edited by mulligan; 11-02-2012 at 11:10 PM. |

I think that was all for the camera.
At the end Laverneous Coles looks like.. "He doesn't normally yell like this, whats wrong with this guy"

Wasn't this a Marvin Lewis thread ?
Not even the slightest chance exists that Cincinnati will get another NFL team if the Bengals leave. None. Love em or Leave em folks.

We wouldn't have even seen Marvin act this way without a camera because its in the locker room.
So my question to the OP is how do you know he changed? Have you played for the Bengals lately? Do you actually know anything about how Marvin is acting behind closed doors?

Marvin Lewis still has that same fire. However, for a fire to ignite there must be something combustible -- and this team is all out of oxygen. Right now, the Bengals remind me of the Deltas in Amimal House who, after Bluto gives a motivational speech, just sit there staring into space.

IMO, ML has always been like this inside the locker room. Haters say that ML put on a "show" for HBO and that ML never has been intense like this before or after the HBO "charade". I disagree. |

As opposed to the "fans" that don't go to football games to demonstrate their "support" of the Bengals?
I agree. MB probably wants more fans like me and less of the "fans" that boycott the Bengals during a playoff year. Who Dey! |
