Not sure your point. How exactly are you comparing last season to this season? Also, I guarantee the only "sky is falling" posts last year came after we started 1-2, or during the offseason when we expected failure with a rookie QB leading a team coming off a 4-12 season. We are over the halfway point in this season and two games below .500. If you can dig up a post of mine saying we won't make the playoffs week 9 of last season, go ahead and delete my account pal.

Bottom Line, I see maybe 2 to 3 more wins. Oh happy days again. When is the Draft? Time to get excited for the 22nd year under Mike Brown's realm.

I was proud overall of the performance today and not quitting, and even found myself saying several times the old "if Nugent had made that FG and we hadn't allowed the return TD we would have won this." The point is great teams finish drives and score TD's, not FG's. We consistently do no execute. We consistently find ourselves in 3rd and long. Actually I think 3rd and Long would be a great motto for this team all year. We improved today but a loss is a loss and this loss IMO takes us out of the playoff picture.

I don't agree. We try hard but we don't believe we can do it. 3-4 times this year we have had 4th quarter leads and have lost. It is called a "losing mentality". I've never seen a team beat theirselves up after a 3-1 September and then turaround and talk about little things after 4 losses in a row. Marvin says we have lots of talent. Maybe ..... but we also have have a team of losers, and no leaders. Quit being so tight; don't be so predictable and structured. If you got all this talent, cut it loose, jump some routes, do some trash talking, take an unsportsman like or two. Play with a chip. But don't call timeout on a 3rd and 3 in the early 4th quarter because you've got the wrong D personnel on the field. So what if they make 5-6 yards? Or don't let the QB run the ball on 1st down with 1 timeout and 30 secs left in the 1st half. THROW IT AWAY and save the timeout! How dumb is the QB or Gruden??

Same old ... same old. Wish we had Jim Mora. Playoffs? No fricken way. Tell the team that and tell the media that and maybe we can have some fun. Cause present tense sure isn't working.

But with the way this team is playing and marvin at the helm aint no way in hell they going to no playoffs.

I dont see them winning anymore than 6 games.

+1 At most 3 more wins: SD, Oak. KC. No more.

And they are the next three games after NYG. If by some miracle the Bengals beat NYG, then a four game winning streak to generate that mid-end of year optimism is possible before hitting the buzzsaw. Personally rather we tank it for the draft pick.

I don't enjoy watching this team lose. I don't enjoy watching this team play uninspired football. When I look at the schedule, I see maybe one or two more wins. On a positive note, Dalton did seem more fired up today.

Me too. In fact it reminds me of the 1995 Bengals:

- Promising young pro bowl QB
- Outstanding WR who can leap out of his shoes
- Terrible run game
- Solid pass catching TE
- Awesome young DT
- Weak linebackers
- Bad secondary

The only difference is that our '95 team was better. They won 7 games and lost 4 games by only a fg.
