Re: Welcome to the roster Emmanuel
Vincent Rey blew that.

Someone got took out around the 10 yard line. I couldn't tell who it was.

Either way, I thought Emmanuel played well, and he should be starting over Lawson even though he is extremely undersized. Lawson and Rey are both just playing like ****.

Lamur flashed. I was hoping he'd have the time to put on some weight, but I thought he had a good game.

It was a small sample size to judge on but the kid played better in this one game and showed more ability than Rey M. or Lawson have all season. Hopefully we continue to see his work load increase and see if he can be a piece for the LB corp going forward. Certainly was impressive in his first game.

Dude was covering WRs out there.
He is a must in nickel for the rest of the year. I thought he played extremely well. Anyone else impressed with this kid? |

Like I said before, he has a great skillset, and with the right coaching he could be a very good player. Moves like a DB, it's really impressive.

I was just looking for a Lamur thread. I didn't get to watch the game, just listened to it on the radio. I know they were saying his name a lot. How much was he playing? Make any good plays?

him and Burfict could be a good LB combo for the next few years. Activate D Evans now lets start 3 rookies @ LBer they are playing better than the Vets we have lol

Yeah, he played incredibly well considering it was his first game. I don't remember the exact play, but they threw a screen to Decker I think, and Lamur got him for a loss. He's a pretty shifty wide receiver, so that's impressive. Very good closing speed.

Lemur played Great. He had a pass Defended meaning he was close enough to his guy to knock the ball down something we havent seen much of this year.

In the 4th Qtr, Zimmer had Burfict, Rey and Lamur on the field at the same time.
This is how it should be for the rest of the year. Unless Lamur stinks against the Giants. Lawson is clearly just going through the motions out there and the coaching staff knows it. They trusted Lawson less and less as the game went on (based on playing time anyhow). |

Did anyone else think Lamur looked pretty decent Sunday? He got a lot of snaps, and had a pass defensed, some tackles and most of the time was where he was supposed to be in coverage.

He was actually a bright spot yesterday. He has a ton of athleticism and should be given some opportunities. Might as well see what the young guys on the roster can do with the season being pretty much over.

Very impressed with this guy.
That pass defended was a nice sigh of relief. I can bet that pass would have been completed if most anyway else was in coverage

Ditto. Though the fact that he played well probably means we've seen the end of him. What else does Sanu have to do to get PT?

I honestly wasn't looking for him, but if you guys are right, I'd like to see him at WLB and Burfict at MLB for a few games to see how they do. If two of the linebacker spots could be accounted for next year that would be huge going into the offseason. I also want to see more of Kirk, and can't wait for Jones to be healthy to see him as the #2 WR. I've already written this season off, so I want to see what backups may actually be useful for next year.

Lamur did great all things considered. He might be our best coverage LBer at this point(sad, I know), but if he works out that takes care of a need.
Speaking on other rookies needing a solid shot: Sanu HAS to get on the field a lot more. Seeing him in the slot with Jones opposite AJ would be great IMO. Like others have said, give the rookies a chance since this season is looking like a bust already. |

I'd be worried about a letdown soon. He hadn't played lately, so his body was healthy. But, that 1st week of hard contact can leave people a little lacking, come that second week.
