I seriously don't understand why Dre Kirk didn't make it onto the field for at least 1 defensive snap. Let him play the slot WR. He can play press coverage. |

Yea that's the only thing. I don't think it's performance related. I think it is a conflict of personalities with front office or coaches. You can't tell me he isn't at least good enough to play NB for the 1-7 Chiefs.

Better see Dre get some playing time.

Donald Lee on 9/27. He was knicked up a bit. Chase Coffman before that. Bratkowski before that. Last edited by mulligan; 11-05-2012 at 04:59 PM. |

He's not that bad, but unless its because the Chiefs really let him down, He's been fairly poor this year.

Was he drafted in the 1st? Is he over 30? Has he lost a step or three?

In the offseasom is when you build a team. Plus, we spent a high draft pick on a CB...may as well play him. Signing a legit #2 CB in the offseason and using that pick differently was the thing to do. Somehow I think we'll be chasing a fix to losing Joseph for a long time.

Re: Sorry to do this (FA signing/Stanford Routt)
The last thing the Bengals need is YET ANOTHER DB who's about to be 30+.
Newman- 34 Clements- 32 Crocker- 32 Jones- 29 Allen- 29 Nelson- 29 Routt- 29, 30 before the start of 2013 season.

Eric Ried, S 37. Jamar Taylor, CB 53. Travis Frederick, C 84. Jamie Collins, OLB 115. Montee Ball, RB Man... FA has really made me edit the crap out of my Wishlist/Draft... and not really for the better. |

We have run a lot of cover 2 this year.
But we don't get the pass rush needed for it to work.

And we may as well sign Routt and just cut Jason Allen if all he is going to do is ride the bench.

Don't we have enough corners?
Why would we need another one? and why would a high priced corner be cut midseason and want to play for a team that's out of it? usually these players tend to join contenders I'd rather add players who can fix the actual problem areas on the team right now, not add for the sake of adding |

He wasn't the #1 is KC, Brandon Flowers has been the #1 since 2008. We should have signed Brandon Carr IMO.

This. Allen isn't even on the injury report anymore and he is still inactive.

Correct answer ^^^ I live in KC. I get the "pleasure" of having the Chiefs games on here every Sunday. Routt just got cut from a team that has been horrible all season. Easy to put 2 & 2 together here, if the debate is whether or not to sign him. Answer....no. |

I'm sorry but I really don't put people's opinions out there like that but this is to funny if your definition of zone is a 10 yard cushion to give up 9 yards per play and get burned on every man to man play. I would take a strictly man CB over anything we have right now.

I saw the Thursday game and Travis Daniels, who spelled Javier Arenas in the nickel, got worked over and was flat out horrible at everything he did. I have seen Routt play several times this year and teams picked on him, alot, but he is light years better than Travis Daniels. I think the Chiefs are trying to light a fire and releasing Routt is supposed to be the spark. |
