9-0 for the first time since '93. I'm going to bypass the third overtime to beat Pitt, but I thought that game was going to be a challenge anyways. Irish eyes are smiling this morning!

Undefeated is good, but the team I saw yesterday shouldn't have anyone smiling. Remember that Pitt lost to Youngstown State, and were 4-4 going in to yesterday's game.

Going into the game yesterday, I thought Notre Dame was the one top 5 team that couldn't possibly be upset, and they had my vote for #2, with a real argument that their body of work was better than Alabama's. After taking Pitt to 3OT at home, they look like the worst undefeated team left, and if I had a vote, I'd drop them behind Louisville.

No one should be happy about this. The PI call in the 4th quarter was bogus, and they were an easy field goal miss away from a loss, and this is from someone who hates everything about Pittsburgh on general principle.

Elated about it, no. But at the end of the day, a win is a win, even the undeserved ones.

Nice job for ND to come back and get the win. For Pitt, it was a chance to put a season full of frustration to bed, their only real shot at being relavent this season. That win won't do much for ND in BCS polls, but it was huge for their fanbase.

In years past, ND would have found a way to lose that game. This year though, ND finds ways to win those kind of ugly games. But a Win is a Win no matter how ugly it is.

Nice job ND!!!!! Now, go get them Eagles! Give them the payback from '93 and '02 they so need!
