The entire secondary and their hapless coaches are the worst in the entire league. The players can't run, pursue, tackle, cover, challenge receivers, or do anything everyone else in the league does and the coaches are inept when it comes to teaching them. None of these clowns would start on any other team in the league, even the Chiefs or Jaguars. It's not just Terence Newman, Leon Hall, or Taylor Mays. It's the whole bunch.

Well when you don't pressure the QB even once the entire game it is pretty hard to blame the CBs.

If you guys want to pick on a CB, blame Clements. He just doesn't have the speed to cover anyone anymore. Hall and Newman are playing pretty good considering how bad our front 4 (minus Atkins) played.

Before this game, Newman has been thrown at 40 times, allowing 25 catches.
Clements had been thrown at 17 times, surrendering 11 catches.
Hall had been thrown at 24 times, allowing 15 catches.
Pacman has been thrown at 19 times, allowing 11 catches.
Nelson has surrendered 11 catches on 15 targets.
Mays has been thrown at 3 times, allowing 2 catches.
Miles has been thrown at twice, allowing 2 catches.

Lawson has been thrown at 14 times, surrendering 10 catches.
Maualuga had been thrown at 31 times, allowing 28 catches
And Burfict has been thrown at 25 times, allowing 20 catches.

Not a single player on this defense has allowed less than 57% of the passes against them be completed.

If we played man to man then your stats would matter.If the QB completes a pass to a WR whie playing against a soft zone and has space then I can not put that on the defender but the coach.Someone else stated we did not get pressure on Manning you can not give a real good QB that much time and expect good things to happen.

he actually had some good points but lets be real. all the DBs were giving up huge plays. hall is just a... im just gonna blame halls inconsistent play on his injury from last yr like everyone else does and then wait to judge him next yr lol. he's not getting any younger or faster so theres still hope for leon..... lol. were going to have a retirement home of cb's real soon with no speed. maybe dre and that 5'9 dude prater will prove me wrong but not counting on it.

Dre is one of the slowest CBs on the team.

The 40-yard dash times for all these vets are invalid now for the most part. Practically all of them are now slower than when they ran the dash their rookie year. Especially Clements and Newman. Would be nice to have every player run a dash every year, but that won't happen heh.
