Default Ray Ray not with the Ravens?

http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/sp...a4bcf887a.html

Ravens coach John Harbaugh indicated Monday that middle linebacker Ray Lewis is “doing well” in his recovery from a torn triceps, but noted that he doesn’t expect Lewis to be a presence around the team’s facility for at least “a little while."
Lewis was placed on injured reserve – designated to return after suffering a torn right triceps late in Baltimore’s win against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
He underwent surgery later that week, one that typically involves a four to six month recovery.
“He’s doing well,” Harbaugh said. “He probably won’t be in the building for a little while. He’s got a protocol he’s following, [but] I can tell you this, he’s got the best doctors in the world – to my understanding – working on his triceps. So, I fully trust Ray with his rehab right now. I know he’s doing everything he can to get back.”

Any Ravens fans have a problem with their "emotional leader" deserting the team to be in Florida during his rehab?

While Ray's presence on the sidelines would be a huge emotional boost to the team, imo his being absent cuts down from any distractions and from the players constantly being asked over and over about his injury, surgery and recovery at every presser. i think that he'll return to the sidelines at the right time.

I'm not sure, but I think it's not that common for a player with a long term injury to stay with the team the whole way through rehab.

I sincerely hope his stabbing arm recovers fully and he gets back on the field to assist tackle again.

Hopefully he's spending time with his 32 kids.

Ray Lewis being the topic, "minimizes" would have been a better word there.

No worries, they'll give him honorary tackles to keep his stats up. They like to credit him with real tackles after the Ravens tackle someone and the whistle blows and Ray jumps on the pile.

And you can bet he'll be on the sidelines for the prime time game with the Steelers.

Gotta get that camera time.

Yes he will be on the sidelines watching his team lose and the team he would love to be on, kicking their butts.
