Default 5 Things the Board has taught me

The board has taught me 5 valuable lessons that I was unaware of prior to this year:

5. A QB is not responsible for INTs

4. Interceptions are not a good way to judge a CB

3. A RB is not responsible for his YPC

2. Sacks really don't tell how good a DE pressures a QB

1. A season is over after 8 games

In Terrence Newman's case yes they dont. I wish someone would say he did good because of 2 picks

No doubt. I've seen where Newman's 2 INTs that put us back in the Denver game were a bad thing.

Two of Dalton's picks were on hail Mary's. One was on a desperate 3rd and 25. Dalton is pressing a little bit when we're behind, but he's still a good QB. Just needs help. I don't understand why that's so hard to see.

As for the season being over after 8 games, would you wager money that we somehow make the playoffs? We're 3-5 overall, 1-3 in the division and 2-5 in the conference. It's not happening.

Agree on your other points though. Somewhat.

What it has taught me is no matter you put on here you are wrong .....If you put on here the bengals **** donkey **** ...people will call you out on it 100 percent of the time.....If you wait 10 mins and say the bengals still have a great shot people will ask you if your smoking crack ....And say your on drugs....And that you have no clue in life and so on and so on.....So anyway you look at it you are just like the bengals you can win......Alot of people on here just want to here there self talk........I often wonder what would happen if the fans really got behind the bengals 100 percent ....And showed there full support....Like we did the two years we went to the super bowl

What I do think I know, is that there is no such thing as fact. All answers are true only given a very limited window of context.

Remember when Geathers had 10.5 sacks in '06....

In all honesty what have you seen from this team that makes you think that they can hang in there. Strength of schedule and the way they are playing leads one to believe that this team will be extremely lucky to break .500. I'm all for the "any given sunday" way of thinking, but some times you gotta be real and look at this team for what it is. Extremely underachieving with a long hard road ahead of them.

Sorry but Newman now has more interceptions than any of our corners since 2010...combined

As far as dalton goes i dont think some of the bengal fans know how good he really is.....I think dalton will become one of the best Q.B.s to play the game.....If you dont see it im sorry for you ....He has to play agained 2 of the best defenses in the game and the browns defenseis a top 5 defense too....And some of the other defenses hes played agained are very good too.....Now look at what he has to deal with .....The oline has 2 guards in there 1st year a center that has 8 games .....He has 1 W.R he can count on... The other W.Rs are in there 1st year ....A tight end that has been dropping alot of passes.....A awful running game to take pressure off of him ....And he still keeps us in every game.....If they fix half of the things i just said he will win 11 games a year

I really want to see it, but it's not there.

I couldn't agree more, Dalton is good, our WR core is not.

Sig bets that the season is over? Anyone? Bueller Bueller? I never do them, but I probably would based on how the team has played and coached these last 4 losses.

Why would you want to bet against your team?

If you think it will snow tomorrow, it doesn't mean you WANT snow.

If Millz thinks the Bengals will miss the playoffs, it doesn't mean he WANTS them to miss the playoffs.

When Geathers did that they were using him in a number of ways on the outside. They rushed him, they dropped him in coverage from the DE, they lined him up at linebacker. The next year they bulked him up and ruined his mobility. He has gotten bigger and more one-dimensional ever since.

Still doesn't explain why you would WANT to bet against your team.

It was a good season (mostly a single game I think), but it is not representative of who the player is. That is not to discredit it, just recognize it as the outlier that it is.

His median sack stat is 3.5. That number is much more representative of how he plays. He has been solid. Not great, not bad, but solid.

I don't believe Millz "wants" as in derives joy from betting against his team. Millz and many others including myself believe and are disgusted by the fact that our team has zero chance of making the playoffs this season !

IDK... perhaps it's just to prove a point to another fan? What's the big deal?

Not over... but it has to be one heck of a hail mary.

In order for it to happen Steelers and Ravens have to seriously choke in divisional and conference play.

Otherwise there is no chance. No matter how the Bengals play.

Besides that. What gives you any indication this team is ready to win a playoff game? Afterall the goal is to win it all. I just don't see it. There are way to many holes and the coaching isn't doing the team any favors either.
