Things Are Looking Up For Wolf

So, this is really just a summary of what has been happening in my life lately, and how things are starting to look up, so I decided I would share them with you all. Why? Because sharing is caring Anyway.

So, for those of you that don't know, I went to a ministry college for two years. There, I have preached in 6 different states, worked inside public schools as a guidance counselor, been able to speak in front of hundreds during school assemblies, done dramas and skits for kids, played in concerts (both guitar and drums). So I was given a lot of opportunities and am thankful for each and every one. But I have wanted to be a pastor and that's what I feel I am called to do. Just it's never left me my entire life. So I am now a licensed minister, graduated, and now back home in Pittsburgh.

I've been home since the end of May, and have been helping out at my home youth group. Well, I have preached a few times there, but it is not a job and I will not be given one there, but I still like to help out since I grew up there and know all of the members extremely well, and I love helping out with the youth group. But alas, I had no job, and that was something that I needed badly since I was not going to go to college or anything.

So I get a job at Wendy's as a trucker. Easy work, just move boxes 3 days a week and clean the floors every other day I work. Although, it doesn't pay amazingly at all. So I've been looking for a new job, or even a 2nd job. Never could find one and was still looking. Now, throughout all of this, there have been family, friends, and even relationship (ex-girlfriend) arising and it began to take a toll on me. I won't go into detail, but some things that happened are somewhat traumatizing. And that's not an exaggeration.

I've been looking for places to help out, and just this past weekend my youth group went on a retreat and I got to preach, and just the whole service went amazing. I come back home, and was given some opportunities to meet other youth pastors. So I messaged 2 local youth pastors and one replied, and we had our phone conversation, and I have a meeting with him Monday. But, most likely, I will be given a job starting January as a youth leader in this outreach type ministry. Basically, we would feed the homeless, lead worship, play games with the kids, get to know people around the neighborhood, do a lot of community type activities, those sorts of things.

But it doesn't end there, yesterday my mom talked to me about her getting an e-mail for a job with Penn State, so I e-mailed the guy and he e-mailed me quickly with his number telling me to call him. I did, and we set up an interview today. I was interviewed to become a sports announcer for the Nittany Lions, and during the interview, I told him how I have written sports articles for the Bengals on this one site. So, overall, the interview went very well, and now I am a sports announcer for the Nittany Lions, I start tomorrow for a local tournament. And not only that, but I have a chance to be a sports writer for them as well, giving me another job.

So all in all, after basically going no where with my life for months, I am now a licensed pastor, a sports announcer for Penn State, and may very well end up being a paid minister within this one church, and a paid sports writer for Penn State. I'm just very thankful for the opportunities handed to me, and I will continue to move forward with them. I just thought I would let you all know what's going on with me lately. Good lord. The man shares some good news, and here we go. Wolf, good things happen to good people. I have had limited interaction with you, but you've always seemed like a good person, so I'm glad for you.

The medical legalization was pretty much every state that bordered canada. now that 2 states have done more will follow suit.

Possibly. They all knew my football coach, but who knows about free tuition. I'm just happy to get a 2nd job there haha.

I'm surprised I got the job haha. The guy before my interview had a lot more experience and such, but they still gave it to me.

Well, starting off, I will be doing men's and women's basketball, and then wrestling. However, there's only 2 wrestling games left anyway. Mainly, I will just say who the fouls are on, who scored points, and some commentary. But I will be allowed to give more commentary and such as I get settled more into the role. They just would like to see how good I am at it.

They are basically helping me practice by letting me do this local tournament tomorrow and Saturday, although I am also getting paid for those.

Doubt it haha. They have had pastors saying women don't deserve equal right's because of a Bible verse (which is taken out of context). So I don't think if I were to back it up that it would go anywhere

Whenever you say Nittany Lions, do u mean just the football team, or all the sports in general? Everyone associates Penn State with football, but as an alum from the last 5 years I can tell you there's a whole lot more to take in there than a few football games.


Soooo......how bout some free hockey tickets when the new arena opens up next year?
