Default AJ slams Giant's D.

Might have been best not to poke the bear. I hope we can exploit those holes.

I was wondering if we had another Chad getting teams mad before a game. This is about as mild as it gets far from a slam.

It's the front 7 that worry me. I doubt Dalton could exploit any holes in the Giant's secondary while lying on his back.

Antrel Rolle disagrees.

Just saying that his comment is nothing compared to Chad calling people out trash talking before games. It kind of sounds like what a coach would say about a team he did not call out any certain person and make it personal.

If there is any player I'm not worried about, it's AJ. He will get his. I doubt he's worried about Rolle.

You're all making something out of nothing.

He said it when asked about the Giants D, which is ranked 26th against the pass, so is he supposed to say "yeah, they're horrible and we'll crush them"?

That was the most respectful thing he could say.

we are a 3-5 football team.Losers of 4 straight. We have no room to bring up percieved weakness of a opposing team when we can't even hold 4th q. leads.
we don't need to give the Giants any more incentive to beat us.

Wow AJ has his own user name here? That's awesome. Great post AJ.

No, their defense does have holes though. (Kinda like ours)

Who's got stats for how they do on 3rd compared to us?

He could have said they have one of the most respected pass rushes in the league and we're going to have to work hard to beat them on Sunday. Never hurts to give your opponents some respect (especially when they're the defending Superbowl champs) and no good ever comes of criticizing them before the game. People wonder why our team doesn't get respect from the media (or at least perceive it that way) ... if it wasn't a Bengals player, what would you think of a player using the phrase "lot of holes" with respect to the defending Superbowl champs when his own team is 3-5 and riding a 4-game losing streak? Wouldn't you think that player was a bit of an idiot?

They forgot to include this part:

But Green than added "I think their front four get as much pressure on the quarterback that a lot of people don’t have much time to get a big play.”

To a certain extent, Green is right. The Giants have allowed 15 pass plays of 30 yards or more and 38 of 20 or more. Green is also going into the game with a touchdown in seven straight games. He leads the AFC in receiving touchdowns (eight), is third in receptions (51) and fourth in receiving yards (735).

Earlier in the interview, Green said that he though the Giants probably had one of the best front fours in the game.

“They only rush four. They rarely blitz and drop more people in coverage because of the pressure they get up front. We have to be solid up front and run the right routes,” Green said.

Unfortunately, no it doesn't. When you say your opponent has "a lot of holes" that's the only thing that's going to get reported to them.

Same as when earlier in the year Rey said that Trent Richardson hadn't done anything special in the first game. The fact that it was true statement and that Rey actually said some nice things about him too was irrelevant ... the "nothing special" part was the story and Richardson cut us up for 100+ yards in the game.

What he should have said is that this is a very good D when they set their minds to it and come to play. They have won 2 out of the last 4 SB's with a great pass rush but we're gonna go out there play hard and try to get a W.
Just plain ignorant to give the defending SB champs some bulletin board material especially when they have been underwhelming recently.
This teams record speaks for itself. Not a single player on this team (including AJ) should be bragging or talking any smack whatsoever...imho

Here you guys go again, making something out of nothing. I guess all of our players should just shut up and / or lie when they are asked questions.

I don't think it's the same as Rey at all. AJ plays at a very high level and therefore, has credibility. Rey doesn't. Big difference.
