I could actually see him going to the Browns before he came here too. We are the Siberia of the NFL. When will fans realize this? |

This embrace for something slightly less than mediocrity has been going on for so long that quite frankly I would be happy with anyone different. Even Joe the plumber.

good coaches available
I think we should go with someone who wants to prove they can win. Some coaches just didn't have the players out there and I know we got some surrounding talent on our team. It's just the matter of coaching these players. Who do you think would be a good candidate? Not sure who's available at this point but let's she what everyone's opinion is.

Dave Shula's system was too revolutionary for the early 90's. I think the NFL is ready for it now.

Doesnt matter, Mikey wont double dip
Ill go as far to say that a top 5 coach wants to be in Cincy next season, Mike wouldnt entertain the thought because he already paid Marvin. Marvin getting fired this offseason is a pipe dream. If hes gone after this season its because he wants out. Dont count on that either or he wouldve already left. so.......were stuck. |

It needs to be a whole coaching staff change, allow a new coach to come in and get the stink out. Paul Alexander 18 years, Jim Anderson 29 years, Hayes brothers 10 years each. Zampese and Simmions 10 years.
I had high hopes for Gruden, but he is overwhelmed and is being out coached. Teams know that when it's 3rd and 8 our WR's are going to run to the sticks and Dalton is going to throw quick. Not sure why Dalton isn't seeing this and calling an audible. Zimmer can't scheme and has to have an ALL Pro at each level to be sucessfull. He has no creativity in the D. However if we could get the O to play more consistent maybe the D looks better. IDK. I know that college coaches don't have a good track record, but if we could some how get Chip Kelly and some of his O assistants to come in and be the head coach/call plays, draft a speedy RB, wow could be fun. |

Re: "Jon Gruden wants to coach again"
Dallas, has Gruden written all over it.

I think Gruden turned Dallas down a couple years ago in the offseason. There were rumors atleast.

ML has played his hand and proven he is not the coach to get this team to the next level. I am throwing my hat in the ring for Oregon's Chip Kelly to be hired as next Bengals head coach.

Would love to see it. I think its time to move on from ML. Unfortunately, ML will be back next year.

It's definetly time to get rid of Marvin, without a doubt...I want to see us get Jon Gruden, but i wouldn't mind Kelly.

I like the Hobsen piece on the front page about Brian Billick backing Lewis. Seems like great timing during a four game losing streak. That sneaking Mike B.
I would love to see what Chip Kelly and his staff could do with this O, but he needs to stay away from the D. I like his coaching style, score more points then the other team. |

He's a damn good college coach, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be good in the NFL. Nick Saban coached the Dolphins from 2005-2007 and finished 15-17.
With that being said, I'd take Chip Kelly, Jon Gruden or pretty much anyone except Marvin Lewis. |

Marvin Lewis...until he doesnt want it anymore. After that, Im sure its one of our coordinators who probably arent born yet.

Jon Gruden- Strong Possibility
Sean Payton- Would like him, but most likely he'll go to the cowboys. Bill Cowher- Highly doubtful for us Brian Billick- Not likely Rob Ryan- Strong Possibility

If Marvin's not fired after the season, then we may as well throw in the towel for next season...WHODEY

This team would get more respect if they always went for the jugular and lost instead of playing like a pussie trying to eek out a win at minimal cost.
