Indy already has 6 wins, putting them far and away as the favorites for the first wildcard spot.. then the Steelers are 5-3 lining up for the 2nd wildcard spot. Those two teams would have to TANK the rest of the season to not get 9 wins.

The Steelers play the Chiefs Monday.

All of these threads about our easy remaining schedule don't take into account that the Steelers and Ravens play similar schedules.

What's funny is if we beat the Giants this week, fans will be declaring that at 4-5 we're back on track.

When in reality, we should have been 7-2 or 6-3 with that win.

The Steelers were decimated when they beat us. Totally decimated.

The Browns hadn't won a game.

The Dolphins had a rookie QB starting.

All these games are winnable but the cowboys and chargers are very beatable. I see us beating them before we beat the Ravens and the Steelers (though as I said all games are very winnable). Chargers and Cowboys are about as inconsistent and vulernable as we are.

For the criticism Marvin Lewis gets from people on here, there's a lot of other inept coaches ahead on the schedule in the next 5 games where the same could be said of those teams and coaches which should make it fair game to the Bengals

However with a big win today we go from playing the Champions last year to playing who is as of now playing for the 1st pick in next year's draft so beware of the letdown game in Kansas City next week, we've seen this happen already with the trap game in Cleveland so I'm not taking a team like Kansas City for granted regardless of their record

Personally I think the Steelers will overtake the Ravens and they'll end up being 4 and 5 in the afc and meet on wildcard weekend anyway, having said that the Sunday Nighter we had with Pittsburgh felt a lot like a now or never game, if we couldnt beat them when they were at their weakest with injuries and most vulnerable, then it seems like we never will when they're only healthier and better

but first things first, Kansas City next week

You're right that it has the makings of a trap game. Can't take any team too lightly but I see us holding our own and beating them as we should. Will we dominate? We should but knowing this team we wont. Regardless I don't see us letting this win slip by. We seem to be getting hot (played Denver pretty hard and stomped the Giants) so if we are indeed getting hot this is no doubt a W. The Chiefs are pretty bad unlike Miami or even an improving Browns team.

I look at our remaining schedule and I see no game that I think we don't have a chance. Obliviously Pitt and Baltimore back 2 back will be tough. If we go into those games at 9-5 anything goes.

We really should win all of the other games, there's no excuse not to. The Baltimore and Pitt games should be a toss up, if the right Bengals squad shows up. We need to win at least one of those, and I don't care which. I hate them both equally....

Sure, it's possible. We should be favored over KC and Oakland, and no reason why we cant beat San Diego, Dallas and Philly. Of course, finishing with Pitt and Baltimore is tough. From this point, I would consider 9-7 and a wildcard berth impressive (which would require plenty luck since tiebreakers would not be in our favor with a poor AFC record).

The only way it happens is if the Steelers and Ravens are both resting their starters for a playoff run.
