Disaster Preperation Food

Has anyone seen the commercial for disaster food or whatever it's called? It's food, dehydrated and has a shelf life of 25 years. They have different packages with meats, vegetables and fruit. I don't know what the costs are for something like this, but it can't be cheap, lol.

Canned food lasts for years. Just rotate out what you keep, and it will last as long as you need. No reason to spend twice as much for food that will last 25 years.

Just watch "Doomsday Preppers". They are a wealth of knowledge. I've been watching the show, and instituting most of their tactics. I am on it!

I'm prepared for everything from a nuclear attack, to a zombie apocolypse. Hell, I'm even prepared for an unexpected visit from BengalYankee. I don't need dehydrated food, I dug a bunker under my house. I have hogs, cattle, and chickens down there. A corn field, a wheat field, a combine, and 2 seperate mills. Also an apple orchard, and about 10 orange trees. I tapped a natural spring, and installed a water purification system, that's connected to my wastewater treatment facility.

I have a weapons arsenal that would give Rambo, "wood". An air filtration system, 2 lakes, fully stocked. There's a communication center on the second level, and just off of my bedroom is the runway with 4 fighter jets ND loaned me, in case I have to bolt.

Yes, I still have work to do, I know that, but I've got a pretty good start.

You guys apparently just read one of the most ridiculous posts ever made, and you took me, seriously? I watch that show, as you both obviously have at least once, to see the absurd things they do.

There's something to be said about being prepared. I try to keep at least a small reserve of canned food at the house for an emergency situation. I've always thought I needed some sort of water storage system, but I don't have one. Plenty of guns and ammo at my house, so I suppose I could eat critters if I had to.

However, those people take it to an extreme. You can't live your life in fear of what MIGHT happen.

I visit a website stevequyale.com very often and he sells that type of food..It does not hurt to store up..I worry about an EMP attack though..

And more than likely a massive EMP attack wouldnt be an attack but a solar flare.
