Giants are 0-5 all time in Cincy, they've lost their last 5 November games (**** in Nov overall) and are 3-5 overall against the Bengals. But trends don't seem to matter lately with this team...so we'll see.

Well, it would be fun to watch the Bengals win for a change, whether it is the Giants or anybody.

My father is a Giants fan from way back when they used to play at the Pologrounds. But he has also been a Bengals fan since the Anderson-Munoz years. He must have lots of mixed feelings on a day like today.

If you knew the team well enough, you'd know Cincy dumped Benson for two reasons--neither was about money. 1) His fumbles were killing the team. And 2) he wasn't effective in short yardage situations.

BJGE was effective in both of those areas. Plus, Lewis expected to use Bernard Scott alot between the 20s (unfortunately Scott's season ended early). But even then, we had Leonard...who apparently is just a 3rd down back (and Peerman isn't a great every down back).

So, the BJGE decision was actually a sound one at that time and situation. Cincy's problem is that the situation changed--especially the loss of two interior OL.

It was nice to get a W. Obviously,the Giants aren't at their best,right now,and how could they be after all the devastation they've been dealing with up north. I still expected a better effort out of them,though. They frankly stunk the place up and just weren't mentally in the game at all. The Bengals were obviously up for this one,but now they've got to prove they can do it week after week. Until then,I take this W with a huge grain of salt. At the end of the day,it's nice to get that "can't beat good teams" monkey off our backs,though. Hopefully,this helps propel this club past that glass ceiling that's been hanging over them for the past 2 1/2 years,but they have to prove it on the field.

Well for the this week at least the Bengals beat "elite" Eli, and deserve their props.






I own AJ in my dynasty fantasy league too so no complaints there either.
