HALO them ost over rated game of all time. It's the QUAKE of the Xbox world. Awesome tech, with awesome multi-player, but it is a single player game without substance. I judge games, but the game itself, but it's multiplayer.

Half-Life is good, one of the better shooters of all time.

But overall Series. Halo Series >>> Half-Life series

Halo story does have a ton of substance. And Gears of War is Quake for Xbox (it has gibblets) You might not get exposed to the entire halo story playing the first game but thruout the first 3 the story was excellent. ODST / Reach were kinda one offs.

But theres plenty of books to fill in what your missing from the halo universe (reach tried to fill some in)

I played half life 2.. The graphics where not good. There wasnt to much story and the boat was stupid.

Not much story? Seriously? You weren't paying attention. The Half-Life story is linked back to games from the original in 2000.

If you play Half-Life2, Episode 1 and Episode 2 all in a row it's like playing through a dramtic novel.

But hey it's all just a matter of opinion. Plz continue with your Halo 4 lovefest.

Yes, compared to HL, Halo doesnt even have a story. Though Halo's story is cliche run of the mill, while directly stealing from Larry Niven.

Oh I would agree. I don't expect big cliff hangers at the end of Half-Life (whenever we actually get an end), but how the story is wove into the journey is incredible.

I loved HL 1 like is said HL 2 wasnt that great but i havent finished all the episodes. cause portal and TF2 were alot more entertaining.

And i just didnt get into or like the HL game engine it reminded me of duke 3d graphics. Ill try and play it again when I get my orange box back.

But to say halo doesnt have a storyline is a stupid statement and makes me less inclined to listen to your praise of HL.

Just beat the single player, I thought it was ok, not enough background about what happened between 3 and 4 though. Such as why are we fighting the covenant (elites specifically), but overall good single player. If anyone wants to game online sometime my gamertag is whodeymaster, just let me know who you are from the boards so I don't think I'm getting a random game invite/friend request.

No the only thing similar is it lets you build a loadout now.
