No it's fine, nothing to be concerned about and by the end of the week it'll be changed to: The radio guy said you lost to freakin' Cleveland and AJ just agreed.

Oh, here it goes again. Blowing this **** up. The way he said it was just to compare situations, that we lost to a sub par team. The interviewers WERE the ones who turned it into a joke by laughing and continuing it.

Not a chance. His words keep getting twisted by people like you who want to hear controversy where none exists. He knows how bad things got here with Chad. I'm sure he knows not to deliver any kind of repeat performance.

How you perform is how you're perceived. When Chad was throwing up 1400 yards every season, everyone loved his "playful antics". Once the production fell off, Chad suddenly became a team eating cancer. Basically, AJ will be loved here...as long as he continues to produce.

The guy has confidence and feels that we should have beat those teams. That's what he was aiming for and as the radio guys always do, they flip it to some sort of controversial comment.

He simply pointed out how bad it is losing to Cleveland. Just like the board members do on here all the time.

It's the truth, still not the best choice of words......He just needs some coaching on how to be more diplomatic and cliche with his answers, cuz the media will just bait him more and more if he keeps giving them good quotes.
Instead of saying what he said he should have gone with "we've lost several games we were favored to win already, this is the NFL, any given Sunday"...blah blah and etc. etc.. But even if he makes some comments that are more direct and honest than what most players make it's not that big of a deal as long as he prepares and performs and is a good teammate. I hated Chad for the pouting and negativity he brought to the locker room and the grab assing he would do with opponents during the game and in the end, the lazy effort on the field......Trash talk isn't so bad if you back it up and are a good teammate. And really, I don't think this comment by AJ is really trash talk, it's just an unguarded statement he let slip. Not the same as saying the "Giants have holes" the week that you play them. That was much worse. |

What stands out to me is that the sports radio host would ask such a dumb question. Does that moron know that each NFL team and players always talk about taking it one game at a time. Was AJ supposed to say, yea were looking past the chiefs and raiders so we can prepare for the chargers and cowboys.

Well, AJ's words did have such a profound effect on the Giants game...
