Still makes me sad we did not pursue him. I would have loved to see him in stripes. Now the trade deadline has passed, plus he has been given a chance to shine with Sproles injured.

Completely, utterly, and ridiculously false. Every game I have ever watched that they cut to the inside of a skyline the announcers were raving abut how good it is.

They show it, they talk about it, but do they ever say they like it? (Collinsworth does not count) As opposed to the fact that they were raving about Greaters being world class ice cream (which it is).

You are allowed to like it. There are also people who like blood sausage, balut, boodog, haggis, maggot cheese, monkey brain, rocky mountain oysters and chitterlings. That does not mean it is good.

I have a recipe if you want to try some good chili.

I second this. This guy has nice footwork. Hits the holes with good field vision. Not only that... he is physical enough to give punishment back to defenders trying to tackle him.

Would coulda shoulda. It would have been damn nice to have a RB of this caliber on our roster.

I agree with what others have said. Whether Peerman, GE, or Leonard get the start, none are quality starters without a great passing attack and a top o-line. The Bengals need to split the carries up a little more and, in the scond half, ride the back who produced the most.


Currently, there isn't a top dog among them.

Of the three, only one is any kind of a question mark and that's Peerman. I just don't think he's gotten enough carries to know what he can do. Like they always say, RB's need to get into a flow--some more than others. He seems to have better burst, more wiggle and as much power as either of the other two. I've seen it mentioned he's not a good pass blocker. If that's true, I can't see it being for lack of effort. He's a guy who goes balls to the wall all the time.

I can't see what the harm would be in giving the guy some time to prove himself. Also like what he does when he gets the rare opportunity to return KO's.

Not saying he'd be a reason not to take a back high in the next draft, but he could make one of the other two unnecessary. Does what Peerman does on ST's keep Marvin from using him more from scrimmage?

What you're talking about is a whole different kind of chili. People in Cincy eat that kind of chili too. Skyline is more gravy than chili. I would never eat a bowl of Skyline. To me, it's really only good on something.

I think he will be a FA this year. He would be a great pickup.

He is one of the best backs I have seen in years.

If I was in N.O., Ivory would be starting over Sproles, or Ingram.

He is as fast as Sproles and runs harder than Ingram, and has great hands. I would keep Ingram to give Ivory a break once in a while.

You can't automatically change to a pass when they stack the box like that.

Two things. First, there's no guarantee you get the pass off. Second, if you can break the initial line, there's little left to paydirt. How many times have you seen a back break out a long run when a defense was stacking the box.

That's why you stay in the run there. There's always a chance it goes...

I was never on the Peerman train. I always argued against giving him any more time because i didn't see any reason he deserved it.

I think now, he needs a few more carries per game. I think he could handle the BScott role pretty well. Give him about 8 carries and make sure to throw him the ball 2-4 times a game.

I don't ever see him as a 20 carry a game guy, but as a change of pace, i think he's ready to make some noise.

Peerman has had about 15 carries in 3 years but some on these boards say he is not a good player try giving the man 15 carries in a game and really testing this guy before you write him off.This would be the smart thing to do because those stating he can not do the job is clueless because they are saying he can not do the job without any first hand knowledge of of the issue at hand.They have seen the man touch the ball 5 times in one game at the most but are so sure he will fail.
