Arguing between Peerman and Green-Ellis is like arguing between Skyline and Gold Star. One is meatier, the other is more fluid, both are sorry excuses for Chili.

Have you noticed that it does not matter who we play, BJGE gets the same results. That is pretty weird.

Too bad the draft does not have any clear 1st rounders.

He speaks the truth.
Cincy chili is a culinary nightmare. You ever notice when they show clips of Cincy chili during the games, none of the anouncers talk about it being good. Conversely, they showed a clip of getting some Greater's and they were raving about it. If you are not from Cincinnati, I think there is about a 1/10 chance of you thinking that stuff is edible.

PFF gave Peerman a grade of +0.3 while they gave BJGE a grade of -1.2.
Hmmmm. Hmmmm. Yup, the coaches are morons. Might as well start Faine at Center and continue Tate as the other starting WR. |

You are allowed to like it. There are also people who like blood sausage, balut, boodog, haggis, maggot cheese, monkey brain, rocky mountain oysters and chitterlings. That does not mean it is good. I have a recipe if you want to try some good chili.

Would coulda shoulda. It would have been damn nice to have a RB of this caliber on our roster.

I agree with what others have said. Whether Peerman, GE, or Leonard get the start, none are quality starters without a great passing attack and a top o-line. The Bengals need to split the carries up a little more and, in the scond half, ride the back who produced the most.
Currently, there isn't a top dog among them.

I can't see what the harm would be in giving the guy some time to prove himself. Also like what he does when he gets the rare opportunity to return KO's. Not saying he'd be a reason not to take a back high in the next draft, but he could make one of the other two unnecessary. Does what Peerman does on ST's keep Marvin from using him more from scrimmage? |

Needs to touch the ball at least 10 touches. Leonard 5-8.

Give Leonards touches to him he is atrocious.

He is one of the best backs I have seen in years. If I was in N.O., Ivory would be starting over Sproles, or Ingram. He is as fast as Sproles and runs harder than Ingram, and has great hands. I would keep Ingram to give Ivory a break once in a while.

Looks like Gruden agrees that Peerman should get more opportunities.
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5399/cedric-peerman I think Peerman would be an upgrade from BJGE, a minor one. |

Two things. First, there's no guarantee you get the pass off. Second, if you can break the initial line, there's little left to paydirt. How many times have you seen a back break out a long run when a defense was stacking the box. That's why you stay in the run there. There's always a chance it goes... |

I think now, he needs a few more carries per game. I think he could handle the BScott role pretty well. Give him about 8 carries and make sure to throw him the ball 2-4 times a game. I don't ever see him as a 20 carry a game guy, but as a change of pace, i think he's ready to make some noise. |

"I think he will get more and more as the season goes on. It just depends on how the game goes and reps for Green-Ellis and if we’re maintaining drives," Gruden said. "Then we can obviously use better substitution patterns with our backs. If you’re three and out, then it’s hard to get any kind of rhythm and use substitution. I think it’s important to get Cedric some more touches. He’s earned that right and gives us a little change of pace. He’s done a good job."

Peerman is not good.

Unfortunately, our best alternatives have other positions to man; namely, Quarterback and WR2.

Peerman is not good.
Exactly. Peerman could get more carries, but he is not a good back. It is more of a statement about how GE isn't getting it done when bogarting all the carries.

Peerman has had about 15 carries in 3 years but some on these boards say he is not a good player try giving the man 15 carries in a game and really testing this guy before you write him off. This would be the smart thing to do because those stating he can not do the job is clueless because they are saying he can not do the job without any first hand knowledge of of the issue at hand. They have seen the man touch the ball 5 times in one game at the most but are so sure he will fail.
