Just wanted to hear your guys take on the play of Trevor Robinson on Sunday. I think he played well enough to earn the next start. The offense looked much crisper and is 10x better in pass pro then Faine. Regardless of the health of Jeff Faine I think Robinson needs to start from here on out.

Based on what I have seen so far, I am not sure if he is strong enough from some of the monster nose tackles in the AFC north. He seems alright on technique, but we have seen him just get over powered at times already this year. But he is probably at least as effective as Faine against most teams, but I would rather see Faine out there againt Ngata or Hampton.

We only have 2 more games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh starting in week 16, so Maybe Cook will be back for those games.

The same thing was said about Clint Boling last year at guard (even though he was playing RG instead of LG), so maybe he just needs to gain a little strength. |

For a rookie, Robinson is doing great. Yes, he needs to finish growing, but he will continue to develop. He has solid, fundemental technique. That is the base that his body will continue to grow around. Personally, I see it as a battle for Cook to beat Robinson for the starting spot, in next years' camp.

I don't know what the biggest contributor to the great pass pro was last game but considering everything did click so well it would be a great idea to keep the continuity. Everything clicked that game (offense, defense and special teams) but he may indeed be the primary reason the O-line played so much better then usual.

Robinson did well against the NYG defense, i think he'll hold up well against the AFCN nose tackles.

Yep ^^^^^ For a player still learning the Center position he has done extremely well. Think he should play over Faine the rest of the way.

Robinson is a beast. This young man have technique, strength, and football awareness. He's ready for the position.

With Robinson's continued development, Faine becomes expendable once Cook is ready to return. Robinson just had to get his feet wet, and now he's improving each and every game.
With that said, I would still prefer Cook, at least when we play Pittsburgh and Baltimore. |

Robinson has played pretty darn well the last game and a half.
I have counted 3 bad plays in 6 quarters. I know it was a desperate move at the time, and the unknown of Robinson merited a FA signing but I still can't believe they paid Jeff Faine almost 2.5 mil to sign here. ![]() |

Whoa Tony, it's a bit early to be bustin' out the B word. Let's save that for when the time should arise that he pancakes someone like Hampton or Ngata. Can we just be happy that he's a quality, developing, young up and comer with a high ceiling?

I would love to see Robinson finish the season strong and force Cook to actually earn it in training camp. It would be great to find a starter like this and have a quality back up guy in Cook. Plus it would eliminate the need for drafting help.
In addition, Robinson is young and still growing, so he'll only get better the more he plays. If he's solid now, he'll be even better next season. The test now is Robinson showing up like this week in and week out.

well he will have his hands full this week versus a strong d line. Chiefs d line might not be that good but they definitely get push and they do what there suppose to do in that 3-4 scheme.

I think we're reading a little too much into the Giants victory...

He *****; so many NTs throughout the year have done more and better things at the position, while he makes pro-bowls playing 20 snaps a game ![]()
