Default Maualuga fined

Quote:
Joe Reedy @joereedy
#bengals Rey Maualuga was fined $15,750 for unnecessary roughness from a play during last Sunday's game vs. Giants
It was for the Hixon hit.

No Mayaluga struck that fine up all himself. 2 helmet to helmet hits in one game lol he earned it. At least he was finally hitting though!

I am surprised whoever hit Tate when he fumbled wasn't fined as well though.

There was one helmet to helmet hit. The one he got flagged for was a horrendous call and not even remotely close to helmet to helmet.

I can't believe we are talking about Maualuga belting people. I hope the Bengals will pay the fine, but it won't happen.

How ironic, that Rey would get into trouble for playing overly aggressive.

What next, BGE converting 3rd and shorts??

Too funny.

More like having a 20+ yard carry.

BGE has converted more 3rd & 1's than any other RB in the league, he's 9 for 10.

Sunset are you turning cynical again?

Actually mrcool is correct. That is as well why he was brought here. I do not believe for a second that he was going to be the main guy. Injury forced their hand.

Actually I think that's what he meant.

The guy is doing what he is supposed to be doing. 3rd down back making the conversions.

It shouldn't be a shock.

Just like Rey being aggressive. That's what a MLB should be.

However the real shock would be that BJGE would get some long carries and Rey suddenly becoming the player we all wanted him to be.

In addition to being a violation of player compensation resulting in possible penalties to the Bengals organization including a fine and/or loss of draft picks, which other NFL team pays for player fines?

Or is this another "fishing" expedition hoping to get other people to jump on board the "hate on the Bengals" band wagon?

If I had the $, I'd pay as many fines as Rey can muster. Just don't get tossed from any games. Just keep getting better!!!

That would be hilarious and you'd have people agreeing if you hadn't posted this in a thread where he was being aggressive for the first time at MIKE and actually had a good game.

Actually, it still would be a stupid joke, but at least it would make sense.

What are you, 13?

Think before you post and maybe you wouldn't have negative rep points.

On the topic, if I remember correctly, it really wasn't that bad of a hit and it wasn't like Rey had a big running start to cause damage or make the head-to-head dangerous, and that's my problem with the NFL. Are they going to start fining linemen for going helmet-to-helmet on other linemen?

You have zero right to badmouth anyone when it comes to football.

You don't even know what a nickle D is.
